Truly shocked and saddened about the sudden closing of

I want to thank Dwayne and Caroline for giving me the opportunity and trust in delivering classes.

I met some great people in this gym. It had a great community feel with no ego.

Caroline and Dwayne were the nicest people to work with and wish them the best for their ambitions and plans for the future.

I still want to continue as a class instructor and Personal Trainer in Carlow and will be looking to see what opportunities are available.

Hope to see some of you down the road.

Have I got your attention now?

Anyone dealing with a chronic injury will know how important rehab and maintenance is to recovery.

I was diagnosed with Osteitis P***s (OP) in 2019. It is a groin injury where you have poor biomechanics. Think of a knife stabbing you in the lower abs/groin anytime you move, step out of the shower, roll over in bed, sit up out of a chair. Your groin controls your entire body. I went through many physios and doctor appointments before finding the right person. The rehab was tough and expensive but am back to my best performance I had been.

A lot of it involves focusing on glute and core activation/strengthing and performing good movement patterns to counteract the bad movement patterns which led to the injury.

This same logic applies to all forms of recovery.

Recovery is not linear. So many times I said "Ah I feel fine today! No need to do rehab." This turned out to be a negative as I just got back into those bad habits again and felt like sh**.

Your car always needs a service and a tune up so it can keep going for longer, why should it be any different to our bodies? It isn't.

One day a week of solid of rehab and maintenence exercises in the gym isn't going to negatively impact your performance on those harder training days, match days, whatever your sport is.

It is to keep you strong and perform to the best of your ability.

Stay strong, stay healthy.
