Drimnagh Boxing Club send their deepest sympathies to the Traynor family on the passing of Eugene Traynor. Eugene was our weight training coach back in the day and was 50 years ahead of his time with the training he had done according to many that trained with him. A true gentleman and he will be missed by all.

Two great wins for Daithi Kelly and Darragh Ryan tonight in the National Junior Cadet Championships! Both boys box again tomorrow with boxing starting at 11am!

Massive Congratulations to Aaron “Costa” Keogh who put in superb performances throughout the championships to win his 4th National Title in a row🙌🏻 Hard luck to club mate Jamie Collins who was also aiming for his 4th title in a row, but lost out on the dreaded 3-2 split decision. We are so proud of both boys and will be ready to go again for the cadets🙌🏻💙

Today Drimnagh Boxing Club received some very sad news about the passing of our Club President Niall MacCarvill. Niall was the president of Drimnagh Boxing Club for the last 57 years, possibly one of the longest serving presidents across any amateur sports clubs in the country.
Niall was one of the three founding members of Drimnagh Boxing Club and being an architect by trade was involved in the designing and planning of the Keeper Road Project in Drimnagh, including the planning of Drimnagh Boxing Club. Niall has put so much time and effort into the area and especially our boxing club and was a lifelong friend of the late Austin Carruth.
Niall will be fondly remembered by everyone at the club and we will forever be thankful for what he has done for everyone in the club and the Drimnagh area.
We send our deepest sympathies to Niall’s family during this very sad time.
May he Rest In Peace 💙
