About Jessica, founder of Gentle Oak Yoga:
As well as being a mother myself, I have many years of experience working with children and teenagers of all ages, from early years up. As well as my yoga teacher qualifications, I am a certified children's and teens yoga and mindfulness instructor, a certified trauma-informed children's yoga teacher, and a trainee psychotherapist. Currently completing a BSc in Psychotherapy. I have QQI Level 5 certification in early childcare with special needs plus a QQI Level 6 in Psychotherapy & Counselling Skills. I have worked as a primary school SNA. I have also worked for several years teaching music in primary schools nationwide. I am fully vetted regularly and also have the Children First certification. Over the past number of years in addition to training intensively in Yoga, Qi Gong and meditation, I have run marathons in Kenya, Cornwall, London and West Cork. I believe yoga is for everyone.
At Gentle Oak I love working with young people of all ages and introducing them to the benefits of yoga, breathing and meditation.
I offer classes and yoga programmes in schools nationwide.

I’ve just had the best time doing Easter camps this week, with some amazing young people. I’ve been getting summer camp enquiries already, so here are the dates in Schull. Early booking is advisable, as I limit the camps to small numbers.
The camps will be split into 2 age groups.

I love love love moments like these in my children’s yoga classes. This morning one of my five year old students brought in his little bag of gemstones and seashells to show everyone in the class. Simple joys.
