It has been a tough few months for our community, and it always helps to talk about these things.

Football Champo is back and a busy weekend kicks off with our Senior Footballers taking on in Parnell Park on Friday evening.

Big support needed over the weekend starting with Parnell Park, sure what else would you doing on a Friday night!

Sincere sympathies of the Club are extended to the O’Sullivan family on the sudden passing of Ricky ( team mentor third Adult Ladies Football team and former mentor of 1998 Girls, 2001, 2006 and 2008 boys teams), husband of Róisín (current member of fourth Adult Ladies Football team, former Na Fianna Club administrator and former mentor with 1998 and 2007 girls), father of Siobhán (fourth Adult Ladies football) and Seán (AFL10 and mentor with 2006 & 2008 boys).
Ricky also served as Na Fianna delegate to the Dublin LGFA county board for a number of years and was heavily involved in coaching initiatives throughout the Club.

Followed by Hurling Championship as we take on close rivals Whitehall Colmcilles.

It’s a double-header Friday in Mobhi Road.

First up our footballers take on a squad at 17:15, followed by our hurlers playing a local derby against Whitehall in champo in 19:30.

The bar will be open from 17:30 and the Scúp July Special is still available.

Weather doesn’t look so bad either.

Junior B Championship finishes off the hurling weekend on Sunday.

Lots of matches in Mobhi Road and Collinstown so looking for huge home support.

On Friday evening (17:30, Mobhi Road) a select Na Fianna team will take on the national team including members of , who we share close ties with.

The French side is comprised fully of home grown talent and this tour will be their first time playing full 15 a side matches.

So come out and give a big Mobhi Road welcome and support both teams for what promises to be a great exhibition of football.
