Congratulations to Alex Usanov on the win over France U20 6 nation match tonight representing Ireland.

Max Trigub into the final of u81kg at Senior European Cup in Portugal just now! Bearach will face Eoin Fleming in repechage final to see who will compete for Bronze later. Good luck to all.

Swords open 7/5/2023

Collect your registration card and head to weigh in. Judo pants and tee shirt are required for all players for weigh in with .6kg allowance. Please be ready to step on scales and avoid taking off footwear and tracksuits etc when you reach scales as this slows check in!

Mats just about ready. Medals, certificates and trophies set out. Looking forward to a great day of Judo tomorrow at final Swords Judo event. Registration is at 9.00am and we hope to start at 10.00am. Thanks to Fred, Tim, Rob, Sarah, Ion, Max, Caleb, Jacob and especially Bettina who solved a last minute GUBU with the medals!

Remember we have medals & certs for category medalists + certs for all players + trophy for best throw in each category.

Swords Judo Farewell Invitational is on the 7th May next in Phibblestown Community Centre, Dublin 15. We want to use this event to say goodbye and thank you to all the clubs who have supported our various events over the years. The entry form (including a group one for clubs) has been emailed to all clubs and is also available on the IJA website.

Participation cert will be given to all players who enter.
Gold, Silver & Bronze (x 2) will be awarded in each category.
Gold, Silver & Bronze certificates will be awarded also to all medalists.
NEW - we will be awarding a trophy for the best throw (as judged by table officials & referees) in EACH category.
Entry numbers are limited so please get your entries in ASAP.

We were due to have our last class tomorrow Saturday 17th December. Please note that this has been cancelled and Swords Judo Club have ceased training.
