Bluebell Knockmitten would like to proudly announce our incredible 2007 squad as 2023/24 Grehan Cup winners. The lads have now won back to back cups & the club couldn’t be any prouder. This team led by Roy & Kian Spooner are a credit to themselves, their coaches & the club. It’s an absolutely incredible achievement & there are very few teams who can say they did back to back cup wins.
The lads will be presented with the cup & their winners medals this Sunday at 12 at our clubhouse in Knockmitten so we would like to invite the community to come along and celebrate with the lads.

Man of the match today against sacred hearts Harmony mercer scoring a stunning free kick to give us a 2 goal lead in the first half and a penalty in the second half to seal the victory, his leadership, work ethic and hunger to win earned him the man of the match award today. 2-2 draw for our lads in league action Wednesday night against St Francis Wednesday night.

We spoke to the management team & they had this to say.

Pedro man of the match he was everywhere all game and kept us going through out.

A very entertaining game end to end football lots of chances for both teams we were delighted to go ahead early in the game through benson but fair play to francis they levelled and then went out on front 2.1 but our lads showed immense Character like they have the last few weeks to rescue us a vital point away from home in the end 💙🔔

3-2 win in the dying seconds of the game!!⚽️

We spoke to the management team
and thoughts were🗣:

Dragos man of the match a constant threat throughout the whole game always looked to try create something to put us back in it.

Overall we think the team showed great character to come from behind twice in the game in very harsh conditions for both teams trying to implement a game plan. We went down a goal against the run of play and some magic from Anto McKay got us back in it to make it 1-1 before we found ourselves 2-1 to a wonder strike the lads never panicked dug deep and got us back to 2-2.

Then club legend Robert Boccar Bailey pops us and gives us the lead to make in 3-2 in a very entertaining game of football at the bell💙🔔

We wish Bangor all the best for the rest of the Season🤝

Friday night we travelled to Homefarm FC
Where we took 3 vital pts on the road to a very tough organised side.

We spoke to and he had this to say:🗣

man of the match for me I thought he defended brilliantly all night and popped up with a crucial goal to get us on the board.

I Thought we done really well first half created chances and went 2 up at half time.
Second half we saw the game out really well couple of weeks ago we might not of seeing it out as well but with a brand new squad it's always gonna take time to adapt into this league and looks like we are going in the right direction.

Before tomorrows massive clash with Crumlin United there will be a minutes silence for Nathan Brady cousin of Senior Manager everyone at Bluebell United would like to extend our thoughts and prayers with Nathan’s family and friends rest in peace young man 💙🛎️

It is with a heavy heart that we at Bluebell United are posting this message. We have lost one of our brothers this weekend, a friend and football man who over the past has celebrated and fought hard for the success and rebuild of our club. We are a family here at Bluebell and Anto always made everyone feel that when they walked through our gates.
We will miss his cheeky smile, his one liner quips, his friendly approach to all.
Today we are a man down but we will play on and never forget the days we shared.
Forever grateful and thankful for your efforts and energy.

WE would like to welcome a brand new Saturday management team consisting of and coach
(Bobinel Mazono)

is very well known in the lsl and has a great relationship with bluebell spanning over many years and has even captained the Bell in his time with us.⚽️

His Number 2 Bob Mazono is no stranger to the league as a player either having played for Lucan and Newbridge.

We're lucky to have both lads join us and we look forward to the success they'll bring us in the future⚽️
