50 years of the Equestrian Sports World Fair

EQUITANA celebrates its birthday and invites you to the big anniversary event in Essen from 7 to 13 April 2022.🤩

EQUITANA has already brought numerous breeds and riding styles to a large audience, passed on knowledge and provided unforgettable experiences. "We would like to continue this tradition next year. The new date offers us the historic opportunity to really celebrate the anniversary after 50 years," emphasises EQUITANA Director Christina Uetz.
She is thus keeping her promise to offer visitors and exhibitors an alternative at short notice after the cancellation of the event in March 2021. "We are very happy to have found a period in close coordination with Messe Essen that largely corresponds to the usual framework of EQUITANA."
Next year, the World Equestrian Show will be held over seven days instead of nine and for the first time during the Easter holidays. "We hope that this will give more visitors the opportunity to come to Essen on weekdays as well."❤

SAVE THE DATE: EQUITANA Open Air 2021: Two festivals - one reunion😍🐴

After more than a year with contact at a distance, the biggest festival in equestrian sport is the opportunity for a reunion - and that twice. Because for the longed-for new start of the event season, the white pagoda tents will first be at the racecourse park in Neuss and then at the Mannheim Maimarkt grounds.

Planning has already begun. Visitors can expect a varied programme that appeals to sport and leisure riders across all disciplines. The extensive exhibition areas in Neuss and Mannheim offer a wide range of equipment and stable technology, from trailers to bridles.

EQUITANA 2021 will not take place in March😔😷

EQUITANA will not take place in Essen from 13 to 21 March 2021 as planned. Although the preparations for the World Equestrian Show have already progressed, it is not possible to hold the event due to the pandemic🐴

It is important for us to create planning security for all participants now in order to avoid additional costs for hotel and travel. Since it is not foreseeable whether and under what conditions trade fairs will be possible in the coming months, we would like to live up to our responsibility as organisers towards all visitors and exhibitors😊

We are well aware of the importance of EQUITANA within the equestrian sport and the expectations associated with it. A minimal edition of the fair with numerous restrictions is therefore not an option for us. However, we are already holding intensive talks with our partners in order to offer an attractive alternative in the near future. As soon as our plans become more concrete, you will of course hear all the news from us😊🐴
