Hercules Club

Hi all well another one of our membership, Hugh Conroy will be competing for Ireland tomorrow in the IPF World Bench Championships in Warsaw, Poland. He’ll be competing in the u83kg class, he has a big bench on him and has a great shot in getting the Irish Bench National record if all goes to plan. We wish him the best of luck!☘️

Great news just in ,All three Hercs powerlifting competitors won their weight classes this weekend in the IPF May Open. Tola got top female overall and Garance got 2nd. Mark got 2nd best male lifter overall. What a showing! 🏅🏅
Looking forward to seeing these guys on the platform again.

Just a few from todays first timers weightlifting no suit competition in Capital Strength.. great team bonding and everyone gave their all on the platform..
Everyone had a great days lifting and came away happy with their achievement.
Tomorrow our powerlifters are on the platform in Kaos gym..

Big up to 7 of our lifters competing this coming weekend.. kicking off with four of our Olympic lifters competing in Capital Strength Dublin . This will be a no suit no scales competition. Lifters in no particular order are Jagat Jyoti Prusty, with Hercules Committee man Diarmuid Balfe, Siana O Connor, and lastly Michael O Dwyer.. No photos of our Olympic lifters unfortunately but will do soon..
Next up our powerlifters competing in Kaos gym Celbridge in an open flight competition. This is an IPF event..
Lifters are Tola Illori, Garance Hingre, and lastly Hercules Committee man Mark Escabarte...
If you can get to either event pop along and support your club mates..

Hercules Muay Thai fighter Sam O Conner fought in Birmingham tonight.. should have won but for a torn bicep.. He got a draw.. had great support from Hercules club secretary Anthony Cummins and many more that travelled.. Great fight 👏 congratulations from all at the Hercs.. savage stuff ,look forward to more from this fella 💪💪💪

Just a couple of words to wish Rehana and her gang the very best today as she hosts the WUAP world powerlifting championships up in Ballymun.
A few big benchers from overseas on the scene but most of all it was great to see the ladies of all ages from the Mun and beyond lifting along with the youth..and just a quick mention that our Billy Kidd Hercules legend at 81 years young is competing so fairplay to all from all at the Hercules club..
