Kids Summer Camp 2018.
Castleknock Cricket Club successfully ran their annual summer camp at St Vincent’s Castleknock College.
There were kids of all ages there to enjoy the fun of cricket.
Cricket, Cricket, and more Cricket.
The highlights of the week included indoor nets where the kids tested their own ability with the use of the “Bola Junior” bowling machine supervised by Coach Brad from New Zealand.
Other indoor games included Cricket Tennis (improves catching) which was a big hit with the younger age of the group.
Cricket Hockey was really so much fun where the whole group was involved trying to score using their cricket bats like hockey sticks it proved to be a popular game with the group.
The outdoor crease got plenty of use during the week with games including Lords Game, hard and softball cricket and the opportunity to use helmets pads gloves etc.
Everybody looked forward to the “drinks break” as Willie Barr made sure there was fruit, snacks, bars, and drinks to suit all tastes and enjoyed by all.
Special thanks to the parents who were on hand to help out during the week and it goes without saying thank you to St Vincent’s Castleknock College for the use of the facilities.
We look forward to the next Kids Cricket Camp where we will advertise on our page.
