Saying goodbye to my good friend, mentor, student, inspiration, and brother was and is really hard. A friendship for almost 20 years which although had time and space at stages, never faltered, always just a simple phone call away and you knew Donal would drop what he was doing and do whatever he could to help you. The kindest soul with the fastest wit who could pat you in the back to console you while at the same time kicking you in the ass to motivate you! In a sudden moment he is gone, leaving behind a legacy of a beautiful family which he adored, a wide circle of friends who admired and respected him, and a world left better because of him. I will miss our chats, will forever be thankful for your friendship, support, and guidance through some dark times. Life is precious, fragile and short. Love, live, forgive, enjoy, connect, and don’t waste a moment. Rest easy brother, you embodied everything being a Black Belt should be and earned and wore it with pride. You are loved, missed and always remembered….
