Our 2nd is in six weeks' time on Monday the 29th of September. If you want to learn about what we've been doing during the past year, what we're planning to do next year, or get involved with us in any capacity, and generally discuss promoting and supporting cycling locally why not drop in?
We welcome everyone to join us.
Note only members may submit motions or vote at the meeting.

Our club's next will take place on the last Monday of September (29/09/25), which is in 12 weeks. In what has already been a busy year, we'll have loads to look back on and even more to look forward to. We look forward to seeing all our members and others there.
In the meantime, please join us on one of our weekly spins. Everyone is welcome regardless of experience - you must have a roadworthy bicycle and a helmet. We meet at 8am on Saturday and Sunday mornings outside the Church in Donabate.

KIDS BIKES NEEDED: "Hi all, Malahide Members of Fingal Active are busy preparing donated bikes to make them ready for delivery to families in Mosney this Saturday, but they are a bit short on small kids bikes (ie balance bikes, scooters, and small pedal bikes with or without stabilizers) for about 6 × 2-4 year olds.
If you can ask around in your circles if anybody has any ones in decent to good shape for donation, that would be much appreciated, thanks. You can email

Cycling History Tour of Donabate (18/05/25)
We finished with our renowned local historian Peadar Bates, leading our Cycling History tour around key places of interest and historical significance in Donabate.
We had a wonderful time but ran out of time because the group was so engrossed in the stories as recounted by Peadar and Brian Scott that we left loads for our next Cycling History tour...
Our thanks and appreciation to Peadar Bates and Brian Scott for their expertise and extensive knowledge, but particularly for how they recounted the stories. We felt we were reliving key moments in times long past and feeling for those involved.
NOTE: Both gentlemen are also authors, and their books would be well worth reading if you're interested in local history;
The life of Charles Cobbe, 1781-1857 (2007) by Peadar Bates
St Columbas 1818–2018 – A Parish History (2018) by Brian Scott.
Thanks too to Stephen McGinn of in for organising the Trishaw. Lots of curiosity about it and interest in getting one in Newbridge.
To get back on or out on your bike please email us at: [email protected].

Last Saturday morning our community held a walk in aid of Pieta. Ending Su***de. Beginning Hope. Here's why people help.

One of Pieta's annual 💜 walks took place early this morning in the grounds of , Donabate.
We noticed the crew had bicycles with them which they checked during setting up and cleaned before departure. They explained they're ideal for getting around where there are people scattered around an extensive area...
We love it... 🚲 ⛑️
