Pyramid of priorities when it comes to improving our health, immunity, recovery and performance from my new ebook "Back to Basics" 😎
Most people have this ass backwards:
1. "I'll train really hard"
2. "I'll remove all my favourite foods"
3. "If I could just stay disciplined and motivated this time around I'll be happy"
4. "Maybe I should buy a foam roller or one of them massage guns?"
🚫 Not enjoyable
🚫 Not sustainable
🚫 Not realistic
Let me be very clear -
If you're not making a conscious effort to nail the absolute basics as best you can then you'll forever be spinning your wheels and repeating the burnout cycle 😪
✅ Get your sleep in check = RECOVERY
✅ Drink 2-4 litres of water = EVERYTHING IMPROVES
✅ Remove 80% junk = ENERGY
✅ Learn about calories = FAT LOSS/MUSCLE GAIN
✅ Manage stress/lifestyle = BULLETPROOF IMMUNE SYSTEM
NOW you're in a position to smash workouts, train harder, try new exercises and see if you need any additional or necessary supplements 😏
Not the other way around 😉

I'm taking part in a fundraiser to help raise money for Austism in Ireland and the glenroyal has sponsored a dog that has just began his training 🥰
Throughout October I must log 50 miles in distance whether it's running, swimming, cycling or any exercise really 😁

Sunday thoughts 😎
I used to HATE looking at other fitness accounts because I felt they thrived on making people feel inferior and create an insecurity within them in order for the person to invest 🙄
I bought in to the image of the perfect PT:
💪 Ripped all year round
😃 Energetic all the time
😎 Never in a bad mood
🙊 Never eats sugar
🥋 Is disciplined 24/7 365
When in reality:
😳 They're the most insecure
🍆 They've zero s*x drive and are playing pool with a rope
☕ Heavy reliance on caffeine
🍻 Regularly do the binge - resteict - Diet cycle
💉 Have some very strange supplements to look like they do
So I unfollow 😃
✅ I will never try make someone feel inadequate just so they buy sessions off me
✅ I will never hide failures, insecurity or mistakes in any aspect of health or fitness
✅ I've made the f**k ups so you shouldn't have to
✅ I will never hide my love for food, enjoyment of drinks or bad days training
✅ If a client can't relate to you - what's the point?
Human approach 👍

Pre training snack on the go 😃
🍌 1-2 Bananas (depending on your goals, output and calories)
☕ Strong black coffee
✅ Have around 45mins - 1 hour before your session starts
✅ Bananas are awesome to raise blood sugar levels and fuel glycogen stores for intense sessions
✅ Caffeine is one of the best ways to stimulate your nervous system before a session making sure you're ready to rock
