Things social media has normalised:

• calling every mildly uncomfortable feeling a trauma response
• checking your smartwatch so often it becomes the actual source of your stress
• Using chatGPT to analyse arguments
• filming “what I eat in a day” videos for approval from strangers called userGH1w345
• setting up a camera before entering a coffee shop and subsequently taking 47 photos befire actually drinking coffee.
• watching 74 self-development reels instead of having one uncomfortable conversation
• calling basic boundaries “protecting my peace”
• watching 23 year old influencers in Bali tell us how to avoid burnout.

We are moving further away from our own inner wisdom. We no longer rely on taste, hunger, fullness and tiredness.

Anything I've missed?

I have been randomly appearing and disappearing from social media but I am still here in spirit ✨️ I am currently finising off my thesis and case study, and continuing my work with one to one sessions and facilitation. However, I have been planning this for a while but couldn't find a date that suited...now I have ☺️

More than the Mirror: Supporting your child's body image and confidence will be on Feb 12th 7pm.

Our children learn far more about their bodies from us than from mirrors.
In this one-hour parent workshop, we’ll explore how everyday language, reactions, and unspoken messages shape a child’s relationship with their body, often without us realising it. I will also introduce some practical tips and tools to help you gently support your child's body image.

Feel free to message me with any questions 😉

I cannot stress enough how important it is to listen to your own body. Your body will tell you when it doesn't like something. I have never seen so many people living in such a chronic state of fear going into a supermarket because the "internet" told them that some ingredient in their food is "bad". The worst thing is a lot of these internet voices lack the dietetic qualifications or experience to back up their claims...they too "learned" from the internet.

The Internet and social media can be a cost effective way of gaining some surface level knowlege about nutrition, but remember it's not tailored to your blood work or needs. Bodies are complex... There's a reason why dieticians study for so long

Have a look at your relationship with food and ask yourself how much anxiety you have around food, and shopping for food. Remember that fear sells, and we are literally consuming fear based claims on a loop. This can be more harmful than the additives and preservatives that we are being told to avoid. Balance is key, balance with food, but mainly balance with your choices and what you allow to cobtrol your mind.

I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s bought a copy, shared kind words, or supported the book in any way. It truly means the world. 🥰

A special thank you to those who’ve taken the time to leave a review - I know how busy life is, and it’s no small thing to sit down and write one. Your words are so appreciated and really do make a difference. ❤️

Book number two 'Hannah's Huge Tiny House Guest' has officially entered the world!

Most people will know that creating handcrafted cakes was my first language of creativity. Cake was how I brought was inside my head into the world. Shape, style, texture, and imagination all came together to tell a story, long before I ever started doodling or writing.

As time went in, my creative energy shifted and found a new path in creating children's books.

My second book 'Hannah's Huge Tiny House Guest', tells the story of a little girl whose perfectly normal day is turned upside down when a spider tries to say hello. What happens next is what often happens when we experience fear, it grows bigger and scarier as Hannah's mind plays tricks on her.

This is so different to my last book as it's a lovely short, lighthearted funny story that very gently explores Hannah's thoughts and emotions, but also offers Greg the spider's perspective - his confusion, his fear and his vulnerability.

I enjoyed every minute of writing and designing this book and I hope you and the little people in your life will love it.

You can find it on Amazon by searching for Hannah's Huge Tiny House Guest, or searching for Andrea Weldon on Amazon. There's also a link to it on my website (link in bio).
