Scientists just proved animal protein builds 47% more muscle than the same amount of plant protein. πŸ₯©βš”️πŸ₯¦

But here's where it gets interesting...
Researchers took 16 people, fed them two different dinners on separate days.
Same calories. Same protein. Same macros. Different source.

One meal was beef. The other was fully vegan β€” quinoa, chickpeas, soybeans.

Then they took actual muscle biopsies and measured what happened inside the muscle in real time.
The beef meal won.
By a lot.

47% higher muscle protein synthesis.

Nearly double the amino acids in the bloodstream.
But before you start cancelling your meal prep service β€” there's a twist.

The same research team ran a follow-up study. When the vegan diet was properly balanced across a full day, with enough variety and volume?
The gap closed.

So what does this actually mean for YOUR training? πŸ‘‡

1. Protein SOURCE matters β€” not just the number on the label.
Getting 30g from beef and 30g from chickpeas are not the same signal to your muscle. One is a louder knock on the door.

2. Plant-based can work β€” but it requires more effort.
You need higher volume, more variety, and smarter food combining. It's doable. It just doesn't happen by accident.

3. If you're older, or you struggle with appetite, animal protein is more efficient per gram.
This isn't opinion. It's muscle biopsies and isotope tracers.

Most people obsess over hitting their protein number and completely ignore protein quality.
That's like counting calories but eating nothing but cereal.

The number is part of it. The source is the other part.
