Here is a note to think about for the AGM that will be held in Kingscourt
We will have to decide at the AGM what format the competition in Wexford in November is going to take going forward.
It is not feasible to run a joint One Wall-40X20 tournament as we did this year, due to administration constraints and the physical drain placed on players (particularly open men players).
Therefore we will need to decide - One Wall or 40X20 doubles?
The 40X20 doubles competition was very popular in the 2014/2015 academic year. It was generally more popular among more experienced players.
On the other hand, One Wall is by far the most attractive code for beginners. It is also perfectly timed to bring beginners to a competition (i.e half-way through most college semesters).
One alternative that was suggested by Danny was having a One Wall tournament for beginners, and having everyone else play in the 40X20 doubles competition. Due to administration constraints, this would probably mean having to exclude beginners from the 40X20 doubles tournament.

First aid Course is now 1 day from 10 - 4 in DIT Aungier St
Dates: Friday 16th Oct, Sat 17th Oct & Friday 23rd Oct.
The club must have to have 2 qualified first aiders. Let me know if you can attend one day
The ICHA are trying to get a GAA handball coaching course organised for it's Dublin based colleges. Gaa Handball require a minimum of 16 in order to run these courses so I'm just seeing if there would be anyone in DIT who may be interested?
The cost is €20 per person but they can offer a €15 fee for students. The course itself will take around 4 - 4.5 hours so a bit of dedication is needed!
After this you will have a national foundation level coaching certificate. Which means you will be eligible to apply for the level one course.
If you are interested message Christopher Mackin. Date are to be confirmed
