9 years ago, when I took my first yoga teacher training, I never actually intended to teach. I had just started my yoga journey and was reaping the benefits personally, so I just wanted to immerse myself in my practice all day every day, and a teacher training ticked those boxes.
The few years following that, I dipped in and out of regular teaching, the imposter syndrome was strong! I never felt I fit the part. I wasn't 'together' enough or didn't look or act the way yoga teachers were 'supposed' to... (of course, I know that's all crap now!)
Part of my story: When covid arrived, I moved back to Ireland after nearly 15 years travelling the world. I didn't know where to begin... It took me a couple of years to finally build up the courage to start up my own classes again. But I missed the people you meet at yoga and I started to get sick of listening to myself making excuses.
I was nervous. I did it anyway.
And wow. Opportunities started to come my way, I made connections with amazing people. I became close with beautiful souls who believe in me-even on the days when I don't.
Amazing things continue to happen ✨️
I'm so grateful for yoga and the adventures it has taken me on. To every single person who crosses my path because of it. It's the gift that keeps on giving
I have never felt more at home in this world 🌎
Ok I kinda went off on one there 😆
The moral of the story is:
1. Get out of your comfort zone and
2. Stop and smell the roses

Balance is the key. In everything you do. Dance all night long and practice yoga the next day. Eat chocolate when your heart wants it and kale salad when your body needs it. Wear high heels on Saturday and walk barefoot on Sunday. Move and stay still.
Embrace all sides of who you are. Be brave, bold, spontaneous and loud and let that complement your abilities to find silence, patience, modesty and peace. Aim for balance. Make your own rules and follow your own path and don't let anybody tell you how to live according to theirs.

Is your breath short and shallow? Or slow and smooth?
Slowing our breath regulates our nervous system, it can ease anxiety, lower blood pressure and lift our mood.
⭐️AND, the best part:
The slower we breathe, the slower we age! 🌿
So why not try it right now!?
Inhale slooowly through your nose for 4/5 seconds and exhale through your nose for 4/5 seconds. Repeat 5 times (or more) and let me know how you feel after!!
