Our club is back, and training is on Wednesdays! Whether you’re looking for fitness, self-defense, or a fun challenge, now’s the time to get on the mat.

📅 Training Schedule (Every Wednesday):
🟢 Juniors (Ages 6-16): 6:10 PM – 7:00 PM
🟠 Adults: 7:05 PM – 8:05 PM

🔥 Train with an Olympic-Level Coach!
Our sessions are led by Coach Alonzo Henderson, a former Olympian and head coach at Trinity College, bringing world-class judo training right here to Citywest!

💙 This club is run by volunteers, and all extra income goes directly to supporting the school.

Kids' Class: 6 PM – 7 PM Wednesday (€6 per session)
Adults' Class: 7 PM – 8 PM Wednesday (€12 per session)

Our classes are led by Coach Alonzo Henderson, a 6th Dan black belt and former Olympian, bringing world-class expertise to our community.

Exciting News:

Launch of the Cabra Judo Club – Scoil Aoife Citywest Branch!
Tuesday, Time: 2:45 PM – 3:30 PM

The Scoil Aoife Citywest PTA is excited to announce a new Judo initiative for our community, made possible through a partnership with the Cabra Judo Club.

Alonzo Henderson, a 6th Dan black belt and former Olympic competitor, has graciously volunteered to serve as the Head Coach, bringing his incredible expertise to this new venture.

Trial Session Details:
Trial session took place on Tuesday, December 3th
Time: 2:45 PM – 3:30 PM
Who: Kids (initial trial group)
This trial is free After the session, we plan to officially launch and expand the club.

What’s Next:
After the trial, the PTA will officially launch the club with the following arrangements:

Free for residents of MacUilliam or students of Scoil Aoife Citywest (kids and parents).

€5 per session for kids outside this group.

Adults will have separate sessions with fees to be announced.

Future expansions will include parent-child sessions and adult classes.

Support and Future Plans:
Alonzo has offered 3-6 months of coaching support free of charge, after which the coaching cost will be €30/hour, accommodating up to 25 kids per session we can go up to 90 kids if we want.
The PTA is actively seeking grants and donations to fund equipment like judo suits and help sustain the program.

This initiative is a wonderful step toward promoting fitness, community engagement, and new opportunities for families. Let’s make this trial a success and set the foundation for an exciting new club!
