The Mageough was founded in 1878. The Mageough is a residential complex of 37 individual houses. The Mageough operates on the basis of independent living

Mageough is a Registered Charity and run by a Board of Trustees. The single bedroomed and two bedroomed houses are available for residents in a peaceful setting in extensive grounds in Cowper Road, Rathmines.. We look forward to our Carol Service on next Sunday 14th December at 4pm in the Chapel. This will be followed by seasonal refreshments in the Function Room. All our friends are welcome to join us. On this Wednesday 22nd October at 3pm in the Function Room at our Social Club meeting there will be a presentation of a short film made by The Dodder Action Group : 'The Dodder - This is Your River', We look forward to Victoria White's visit. All our friends would be welcome to join us. Its a lovely film.

Harvest Thanksgiving
Our Harvest Thanksgiving sertvice is this coming Sunday 12th October at 4pm in the Mageough Chapel. Our preacher will be Rev.Canon Paul Houston. The service will be followed by refreshments in our Function Room. Everybody is welcome.

Since we first published our Coffee Morning, the hospital has been attacked again, please think of supporting this. as well as the exhibition and paintings and crafts there will also be a stall of other items. If you have something small in good condition to donate we will be glad to accept. As this money will be going through the Diocese of Jerusalem it should get to the hospital quickly.

On Wednesday 30th April at 3pm Professor Rose Anne Kenny from Trinity is coming to talk to our Social Club in the Function Room at 3pm on ' The New Science of Living a Longer and healthier Life.'. Our friends are all welcome to join us. This will be our last indooor meeting of the season as we next plan for all of our outdoor events, weather permitting, during the summer.

We are well into our autumn timetable with the usual weekly activities. Our next special event is our Harvest Thanksgiving on Sunday 13th October at 4pm where Rev. Canon Alastair Graham will be our preacher. This will be followed by refreshments. It is usually a very enjoyable occasion. You would be most welcome to join us if you can.

The Mageough Carol Service this year is as usual on the second Sunday of December, the 10th, but this year at 4pm, not 7pm as in previous years. As usual there will be refreshments after the service.
