Nicky English was truly one of the games greatest forwards. A natural in front of goal & his scoring records in knock out championship were phenomenal. If you had the pleasure of watching him you would know he had it all,

Tipperary GAA crest History. The all Gold crest is very rare & was only worn at Senior level in 2 games in 1987.
In that same year, the White version of the crest also adapted from the Tipperary County Coat of Arms was introduced & would be the Tipperary GAA crest until replaced by the current one in 2000. What players come to mind when you see these?

Continuing with Kilkenny this week, we have put together a graphic that illustrates the evolution of the Kilkenny GAA crest. From 1979 to Current day they have had variations of 3 crests. We are loving the original one adapted from the Original Kilkenny Coat of Arms, a sculpture of which can be found on the side of the town hall.
