UCD Lacrosse

Training resumes tonight for spring semestre for the men’s and women’s teams, 8:45-10 on the track infield pitch! All players new and old welcome, if you are new to UCD Lacrosse and need equipment, please meet us at the storeroom, and if you need storeroom directions, please dm us here on Instagram and we will get you sorted! Looking forward to inviting everyone back for a fun new semestre of lacrosse this evening!

Last Monday was our last practice of the semester, and as is UCD tradition, featured an intra-squad ladies v gentlemen’s match! Switching sticks and working through a few rule differences, our (many of them skort-wearing) gentlemen faced off against the ladies for some good experience and great craic to wrap up our season. This semester has introduced us to many new faces only just beginning with UCD, as well as many of our study abroad contingent, heading home after offering some great fun and experience. We are grateful and happy to have both groups around, and of course our familiar returning faces as well! We welcome faces old and new back next semester for another exciting time at ucd lacrosse!

Started lacrosse: in junior year of High School after the lacrosse coaches told me it would be an easy switch from hurling (was it?)

What an incredible start to the season - some highlights from these past few weeks🥳🤝🏻

Trainings (beginning now) Mondays 4:45-6 and Thursdays 8:45-10, on the UCD Athletics track!

Great to get everyone for our first session of the ‘23-‘24 year last night! As a reminder to members new and old, we are once again training 4:45-6pm on Mondays, and 8:45-10pm on Thursdays, but we are now on the pitch at the UCD athletics track! Despite a little rain, we had a great first session, knocking some rust off and meeting some new members! For freshers, study abroad, and otherwise interested students, you can come sign up for Lacrosse at the UCD Sport expo next week! Shaping up to be a great semester, game dates will be coming soon, stay tuned!

Hey everyone! Hope you all had great summers and are excited for another year at UCD lacrosse! Two important points of information. Firstly the sports expo will be running from Monday the 20th to Friday the 24th this week! It will be held in the marquee outside the student centre from so be sure to swing and sign up!
Secondly training will be starting back this week on Monday the 20th at 4:45-6pm on the Astro pitch by the 5 a side pitches and the hockey pitch (see map below). Due to Covid 19 restrictions if everyone could meet down on the pitch that would be great. Don’t worry if you have no lacrosse gear with you we have plenty of extra gear!
