Newlands Golf Club is delighted to launch the Frank Keane BMW Nine and Dine Series which will run over four days this summer.

As key social events in our club calendar, the Frank Keane BMW Nine and Dine competitions are over 9 holes with food served afterwards in the clubhouse.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Captain Louise Halpin said: "The Nine and Dine Series is such a popular and fun event within the club, creating a wonderful opportunity for members to connect both on and off the course. Frank Keane first became interested in cars through a teenage fascination with motor racing which resulted in the beginning of a lifelong passion. In 1967, Frank Keane was awarded the franchise for BMW and managed with great success to convey the essential BMW message to the Irish public, establishing, promoting and enhancing the brand and reputation of the marque.

Next year Frank Keane will celebrate its 60th anniversary in business. Frank Keane Naas Road & Blackrock are premium BMW Retail Centres in South Dublin located off Exit 9 from the M50 on the Naas Road & Temple Road in Blackrock.

The Frank Keane BMW Nine and Dine events will take place on 29th May, 19th June, 24th July and 28th August. More information on how to book will be sent to members closer to the time.

Our golf season got underway today with Captains Louise and Dermot driving in. Congratulations to both, and we look forward to a special evening in the clubhouse, with dinner underway at 6.30pm

The refreshed menu brings together the best of both worlds: exciting new dishes, the return of some old favourites, and all the popular staples you already enjoy.

New Breakfast Menu | Daily from 10.00am – 12 noon only

We’re especially excited to introduce a brand new Breakfast Menu, available every day from 10am to 12 noon. While the Breakfast Menu will end at 12 noon, the very popular Breakfast Bap will continue throughout the day on the main menu.

The Full Irish Breakfast remains, joined by some delicious new options including:

Bacon & Eggs – bacon served with two eggs (boiled, poached, scrambled, fried), served with toast

White Pudding Smash – smashed white pudding, poached eggs with sourdough and a balsamic dressing

Black Pudding Hash – potato cubes, black pudding, fried egg, avocado, jalapenos, feta cheese and sour cream

Perfect fuel before a round, or a relaxed start to the day in the clubhouse.

Main Bar Menu | From 12 noon daily

From midday, our main Bar Menu offers plenty to tempt you, with new additions such as:

Tiger Prawn Cocktail, served with soda bread, Marie Rose sauce and crisp lettuce.

Bruschetta, served with juicy tomatoes, garlic, sun-dried tomato pesto with feta cheese on a grilled sourdough.

We’re also pleased to welcome back a firm favourite — Chicken Wings — alongside a new Philly Cheesesteak Baguette, which we expect to be very popular.

New Salads

Following important feedback in our last survey, we have now enhanced our salad selection to provide more variation. Along with the classic Caesar Salad, you’ll now find:

Beet Salad – with beetroot, quinoa, red onion and baby leaves

Cous Cous Salad – with tomato, spiced chickpeas, cucumber and basil pesto

Greek Salad – with feta cheese, olives, cucumber and tomato

Members will have the option to add roast chicken breast, garlic prawns, baked Irish ham or tuna to each salad, providing members more flexibility, value and choice across all salads.

Whether you’re looking for something light or a full meal, there’s something for everyone on the new menu, and we can’t wait for you to try it.
