Stepping back from Instagram for now to rest my nervous system and reconnect with myself and my work 🌙

I’m realising that the version of me who holds women through presence and attunement can’t be built through a platform that constantly pulls me out of myself. Could be a week could be more.

I’ll miss it. Feels risky considering most of my biz comes from here so let’s see. I’m willing to take the risk and I can reevaluate at a later time. I’m trusting my body on this one.

I’ve heard myself in my head saying “It’s my business, I have to show up here” but hold on … I can spot a limiting belief a mile away ;) (it’s literally my job too) > I am my Buisness. It’s wherever I go because it’s me. Me being of service.

So right now I’m choosing depth over reach.
Resonance over numbers.
Presence over performance.

Mind yourself. It’s noisy here.
Be mindful of what you’re consuming.
Thank you for being here.

If you’d like to stay connected or hear about upcoming circles or offerings you can Email me [email protected] or text me if you’ve my number and I’ll add you to a WhatsApp group or keep you informed 🤍

And Even though I wont be on this app. The link in my bio will stay updated so if you find yourself here and you’re drawn to my work. Check it out 🤍

Stay safe
Stay grounded
Stay open
Stay curious
Stay as LOVE

One thing I’m deeply proud of as a mother and something I’m very intentional about is how openly we talk about bodies in our house.

Periods.
Vulvas.
Wi***es.
Bodies.

From a very young age, I made a conscious decision no secrecy, no shame, no embarrassment.

My nearly-5-year-old knows her proper body parts.
She knows what a period is.
She knows that the va**na is inside and the v***a is on the outside.

(I didn’t learn that until my late 20s.) shoutout to Jenny keane!

She’ll casually say things like “Mam, do you have your period?” or say “Let’s watch a movie and rest mam cause you have your period” And it’s so natural for her. So innocent. So normal.

Like many women, I didn’t grow up like this. There was silence, shame, embarrassment, and discomfort around bodies and “private parts.” That silence followed many of us into adulthood.

This isn’t inappropriate.
This isn’t too much information.
This is body literacy.

When children know the correct names for their bodies,
they’re safer.

They’re more confident.
They carry less shame.

If this makes you uncomfortable, it’s worth asking why.

Children don’t sexualise bodies , adults do.

Teaching correct anatomy is not a trend. It’s protection & something I’m so proud of as a mam

If you’re a parent, this might spark a reflection.
If you’re not, it may bring you back to what you were or weren’t taught about your own body.

What did you learn or not learn about your body growing up?

What did you internalise about what you learned or didn’t learn?

I say this a little backwards so the contractions were coming and the gas and air were before the epidural and it was like my body was rejecting it all.

I also say at the end I kinda knew why he was so settled because we’d missed an important window of bonding etc but I never mentioned I knew he was like this from the birthing experience too cause it deeply impacted me and of course him too. It was his birth too. If it was traumatic for me I could only imagine how it was for him

I recorded a bit more but some didn’t save so I hope you get the jist. I went into hosp around 4pm & baby was born at 21:50pm wasn’t that long for a first birth and I was happy with that but yeah the whole experience just felt to intense & big for my nervous system at that time 🤍

We’ve been on a wild journey ever since.

He didn’t have the best start & for years I blamed myself. I also blamed him for my anxiety & disconnect & it was a whole journey of inner work , child work & shadow work to work through the shame , the disconnect, the guilt, trauma, heaviness etc. not just for me but for him and them too because I saw how much it was affecting the kids the unresolved trauma.

Beyond blessed he chose me. He cracked me open & continues to teach me so much about this life 🥺🤍

I want to share some things I learned the hard way when my child’s anxiety peaked & not because I did it perfectly because I certainly didn’t . I hope it can help another parent feel a little less alone 🫶🏼

Some of the things I thought would help… that didn’t

Keeping her off school 🫠
Shouting 🥺
Rushing her 🥴

Each of these backfired in their own way and each taught me something important about how children’s nervous systems work.

What I learned is that ⬇️

🫶🏼Children need safety, not control
🫶🏼Connection and calm regulate more than correction ever can
🫶🏼Slowing down and holding space changes everything

Anxiety isn’t a behaviour problem. It’s a nervous system asking for safety.

There’s nothing wrong with your child.

Anxiety is how their needs are being expressed.

You’re not doing it wrong.

You’re learning what your child needs through trial & error

Remember your best right now is ENOUGH

Share with a parent who might need to hear it today.

F**K YESSSS.

Louder for those in the back

Don’t know who made this and who the credit goes to but it’s on the money.

Listen + then listen again + again until your body gets it.

It’s Alignment 🫀

If your Sunday evenings tend to come with a quiet sense of dread… you’re not alone
I’m holding a Restorative Cacao Circle on Sunday 25th , a calm, nourishing space to slow right down before the week starts.

Think warm cacao, being fully supported in restorative shapes, gentle breath, and no pressure to talk or “do” anything. Just rest. Just space. Just being held.

Sun 25th | 6–8pm
Escapada Studio, Dún Laoghaire

Love to share the space with you

I didn’t expect that post to land the way it did. That version of me was surviving something heavy. If you’re in a season that feels like that, you’re not alone here.

Thank you for being here 🙏🏼
