📸🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ THE BAY 5K PHOTOS ARE HERE! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️📸

We’ve been so looking forward to sharing these! 💙 Some of the fantastic photos from our Bay 5K have arrived, capturing the smiles, determination, fun and brilliant atmosphere on the night. 🎉

And we have to give a HUGE shout-out to our very own Evelyn McCaul! 👏📸

Evelyn is one of our wonderful 5th Class teachers here in Scoil Mhuire na nGael, but what you might not know is that she is also a very accomplished photographer! 🌟

These beautiful shots were captured by Evelyn Eilish Photography, and we think she did an incredible job of capturing the spirit of the Bay 5K. ❤️

📷 Be sure to check out more of Evelyn’s work online at Evelyn Eilish Photography.

Keep an eye on our page because there are plenty more Bay 5K memories to come! 👀💙

A massive thank you, Evelyn, for sharing your talent with us and helping us capture such a special night. 💙📸

A massive shout-out to all of our helpers and volunteers who made tonight possible — from the very first conversations and planning meetings, right through the organisation, preparation and finally the delivery of the event tonight. There were so many people working away quietly in the background, and we simply couldn't have done it without you.

👏 To our wonderful marshals and volunteers out along the route — thank you for giving your time and helping us keep everyone safe.

🚓 A huge thank you to our local Gardaí for their support and assistance, and to the Order of Malta for being there for us tonight.

📻 We were also delighted to have LMFM make an appearance — thank you for joining us!

❤️ To the residents of Bay Estate, thank you so much for your patience, encouragement and fantastic support of our event. We really appreciate our local community getting behind us.

And, of course, a HUGE thank you to all of our amazing sponsors. Your generosity and support helped make the Bay 5K possible, and we are incredibly grateful to every single one of you.

Most importantly, thank you to every single person who took part tonight. We really, really hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we enjoyed seeing you all cross that finish line! 🏁🏅

📸 And we're not finished yet! We have LOTS of photographs to share, so keep an eye on our page over the coming days — you might just spot yourself! 👀📸

🌈 Is this a sign of good things to come? 🌈

Between the rain showers today, a beautiful rainbow appeared right over Bay Estate… and we’re taking it as a very good omen for this evening! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️✨

They say there’s treasure at the end of every rainbow… but tonight, we think there might just be a pot of Bay 5K medals! 🥇🌈

The countdown is well and truly ON and we can’t wait to welcome everyone this evening. Rain or shine, it’s going to be a brilliant night! 💙

See you at the start line — 7pm sharp!

📣 SPORTATHON DAY AT BAY ESTATE! 🏃‍♀️🏀🎾

The pupils of Bay Estate are certainly doing their bit for the Bay 5K today! 💙💛

Our Sponsored Sportathon is in full swing and the school is an absolute hive of activity — from the office to the playgrounds and out on the fields! There’s running, jumping, throwing, bouncing and plenty of fun, all while raising funds for our new school playground. 🙌

A huge WELL DONE to all our pupils taking part today, and a massive thank you to our parents and families for getting behind them and supporting their sponsorship. Every little bit is bringing us closer to our goal! 🛝❤️

🍬 A special thank you to Value Centre for very kindly sponsoring the treats and rewards for all the children who complete today’s Sportathon. We really appreciate your generosity and support of our school. 👏

And after all that activity today… the grown-ups can take over at 7pm tonight for the Bay 5K! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️😂

Well done, everyone! 💙💛

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🎉 RACE DAY IS FINALLY HERE! 🎉🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

After all the planning, preparation and excitement… THE BAY 5K IS HAPPENING TODAY! 💙💛

⏰ RACE STARTS PROMPTLY AT 7.00PM

⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION FOR ALL RUNNERS ⚠️

Please be aware that THERE ARE NO ROAD CLOSURES ALONG THE ROUTE.

While we will have traffic management personnel and a fantastic team of marshals positioned along the course to help the event run as safely as possible, runners must remain responsible for their own safety and exercise caution at all times.

👟 Please use the footpaths wherever possible
🚗 Be alert for moving traffic, particularly at junctions and entrances
👀 Look and listen before crossing any road
🦺 Follow the directions of marshals and traffic management personnel
🎧 If wearing headphones, please keep the volume low enough to hear traffic and marshal instructions
🏃 Please be considerate of other runners, pedestrians and local residents

🏅 YOUR MEDAL AWAITS AT THE FINISH LINE!

Once you cross the finish line, school representatives wearing high-vis jackets will be there distributing medals. Please continue through the finish area and collect your medal from them. 🥇

Most importantly — enjoy it! Whether you're racing for a PB, jogging, walking or simply coming along for the craic, we hope you have a brilliant evening.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has helped us get to Race Day — our sponsors, volunteers, marshals, traffic management team, staff, parents, supporters and, of course, every single person who registered. 💙💛

See you at the start line!

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ THE BATTLE OF THE COUNTIES IS ON! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Tomorrow night, our Principal, Deputy Principal and Assistant Principals are swapping school shoes for runners and taking on the Bay 5K! 💪

💙 Monaghan
🧡 Armagh
❤️ Louth

None of their counties managed to lift the All-Ireland this year 😜… so perhaps the Bay 5K is their chance for glory!

🏆 WHO WILL CLAIM THE BRAGGING RIGHTS? 🏆
Will Monaghan show them how it’s done? Will Armagh come flying through? Or will Louth make home advantage count? 👀😂

One thing’s for sure… Monday morning could be VERY interesting in the staffroom! 🤣

And if you’re looking at this thinking, “I could take them!” — THERE’S STILL TIME TO REGISTER! 🙌🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Come join us tomorrow night, take on the Bay 5K and help us raise much-needed funds for our school playground project.

🏅 Medals are still available for those registering!

Let the county rivalry begin! 🔥
