With all the hard work done the last few months having completed our charity skydive in August. Myself & Dylan had an easy job this time that involved no jumping out of a plane and this was handing over our first donation from our charity skydive to Mayo General Hospital with their COPD support group receiving €1270.00 this would not have being possible without the help of each and every person that so kindly and generously donated to our fundraiser.
And so today marks the day of the end of the road for our charity skydive as we handed over our second and final donation to Croí House with them also receiving €1270.00 again this would not have been possible to raise this amount of money without the help from each and every one of you.
Both of our grandads would have been so proud of us knowing that we took on a mission and accomplished it in memory of them. They were looked after and cared for so well during their time in these two places Mayo General and Croí House. It is a great feeling knowing that the money we raised for them is going to be put to good use.
And so myself and Dylan just want to say a big final thank you to everyone once again.

What feels like only yesterday but is now almost a week ago since we took 2 the sky and we would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
From what started out as just a thought then became an idea and wasn’t long until it turned into an experience of a lifetime & a day we will always remember forever!!
Just over 5 months ago back in March myself & Dylan came up with the idea that we wanted to raise funds for a condition called COPD which played a big role in our lives and our families lives in 2022. It wasn’t until we put our heads together and started to think of ways to raise these funds we decided we would step out of out of our comfort zone and take 2 the sky for our two grandads and participate in a COPD charity skydive, and raise this money for Mayo general hospital & UCHG Galway.The reason behind all this was back in 2022 we were the two unfortunate grandkids to lose our two grandfathers within six months of each other to COPD with heaven gaining two people but we gained two angels forever ❤️We appreciated all the help and care these two hospitals provided to our grandads from the very beginning right until the very end and so we wanted to give back by raising whatever funds we were able, it wasn’t long before our fundraising page took off and the word spread round by the help of our family & friends and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of ye all. After setting a €1,000 target we can gratefully say we have exceeded this hugely with a total of €2,500 raised and we couldn’t be happier. As the date for our sky dive drew closer and closer there was no more counting down the days we were down to the hours no more inpatiently waiting our big day that was put on hold not once but twice was finally here third time lucky we got the phone call we had to wait a few weeks for and that day was last Friday August 25th 2023 !!!!!
After counting down the months,weeks and days for so long at the time seemed like a lifetime away but the date quickly made its way too us and myself and Dylan are finally able say we’ve taken 2 the sky for our COPD charity skydive as two very proud grandkids and more importantly two grandads that would have been even more proud to see us not only taking on a challenge that we never in a million years we thought we would go through with but not doing the normal thing either and stay sitting in the plane but instead we decided to jump out !! The experience was indescribable and a memory that won’t leave our heads anytime soon !!! The nerves were well & truely apart of us but going up but leaving the ground was all worth it knowing we had two very special people to watch over both of us that day as we took 2 the sky on August 25th and they are our two very very special Grandads.🕊️❤️

And so as our COPD charity skydive fundraiser has now come to an end myself and Dylan just want to say a massive thank you to each and every person that kindly donated to us it wouldn’t have been possible without ye. It has meant so much to us we have raised a total of €2,500 with each hospital going to receive €1250 each in the coming weeks.

Done & Dusted 🥳🥳
As our COPD charity skydive fundraiser comes to an end myself and dylan just want to say a massive thank you to each and every person that kindly donated to us it wouldn’t have been possible without ye. It has meant so much to us knowing back in May we set a target to raise €1,000 and we have exceeded that hugely raising €2,500 in total with each hospital going to receive €1250 each in the coming weeks.

Finally today third time lucky on August 25th we got the phone call we have been waiting a few weeks for and so today was our big day out for our COPD skydive,myself & Dylan can finally say we took to the sky as two grandkids for two very proud special grandads. What an unforgettable experience it was from the very start right until we landed back down on the ground. A good day all round for us both and also too my brother Niall and Dylan’s sister Tammie congratulations on getting yer leaving cert results today very proud of ye all the hard work paid off !!!
25th of August 2023 will be a day to remember forever !!!!

With the weather having other idea’s yesterday putting our COPD charity skydive on hold. We are now back counting down the days until Friday august 18th when we hopefully will take 2 the sky🤞🏻 !!!

Not to be today unfortunately after travelling being all geared up and ready to take 2 the sky the weather had other ideas and therefore our COPD charity skydive has been postponed until further notice so for now the inpatient waiting is to be continued !!

No more counting down the days no more inpatiently waiting today is our big day and it’s finally here !!!!!
After counting down the months,weeks and days for so long we are now counting down the final few hours until myself and Dylan finally take 2 the sky for our COPD charity skydive later today .The excitement is real and the nerves have certainly kicked in but it is all worth it knowing we have two very special people to watch over both of us as we take 2 the sky today on August 7th and they are our two very very special Grandads.🕊️❤️Two Grandads that would have been very proud today to see us their two grandkids take 2 the sky raise funds inform people of the COPD condition be brave and take on a challenge we thought we would never do.

Only one day left to the day we have been waiting weeks for and it is almost here !!!

In less than 24hrs myself and Dylan will finally take 2 the sky for our COPD charity skydive.The excitement is real and the nerves are all kicking in now but it will be all worth it knowing we have two very special people to watch over both of us as we take 2 the sky tomorrow on August 7th and they are our two very special Grandads. ❤️🕊️
