Following the success of our inaugural Barbells and Brunch event in July 2024, we are going to take the event Nationally in 2025 to celebrate Women in Sport Week 2025. Over WIS week we will come together in spirit to celebrate the pillar of active participation but to highlight, grow and strengthen our strong female community.

This is a training and social event – Lifting, Laughter and Brunch!

A perfect opportunity to connect with other female athletes and coaches in the Weightlifting community. This is a female open event focusing on training together, but it is open to all age groups, with no qualification or entry requirements, other than some experience performing the full Olympic lifts.

Hey folks

Not often I'd use these for personal reasons outside of charity but I've put together a "Go Fund Me" for my son Ryan Vaughan in the hope to get him to the IFMA World Championships in Thailand 🇹🇭 this May.

Our goal is 3000 euro, this is to cover Ryan's flights and accommodation, uniform and entry into the competition. Any donation, big or small, will massively help towards getting Ryan to this event.

Ryan is a 2nd year apprentice in Carpentary, so what money he does make goes back into his education and his tools and travel expenses not to include his training. Ryan's life is martial arts, and anyone that knows him knows this. He trains six days a week and never backs down from any challenge on his path to glory.

If successful at this competition, this takes him one step closer on the path to the Olympics.
