Gormanston Castle: A Historic Landmark on Screen

At the heart of Gormanston Park's 110-acre estate stands Gormanston Castle, one of County Meath's most distinctive historic landmarks.

With its striking architecture and picturesque setting, the castle has attracted film and television productions over the years. More recently, it featured in Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Murder in G Major, showcasing its unique character and timeless appeal.

This week, we're delighted to introduce Sorina Olvedi, our Accommodation and Accounts Manager, who has been a valued member of the Gormanston Park team for over 11 years.

Sorina plays a key role in our day-to-day operations, overseeing both our accommodation services and accounts. From coordinating guest stays and supporting our accommodation team to managing financial processes and reconciliations, her dedication and attention to detail help ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Originally from Romania, Sorina has built an impressive career through hard work, continuous learning and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service. Her positive attitude, strong organisational skills and commitment to teamwork make her an invaluable member of our team.

A throwback to Olympic Handball Ireland using the facilities at Gormanston Park.

Ahead of the All-Ireland Féile, the 2026 Derry Féile Hurling Champions visited our campus, enjoying lunch in Gormanston Castle, exploring the historic grounds, and getting in some final practice ahead of the weekend's competition.
