🏐💚🧡❤️What a week for our U10s!💚🧡❤️🏐

On Wednesday evening, we welcomed Monagea to Ballysteen pitch for a brilliant evening of football. A huge thanks to Niamh Somers, who refereed a very fair game and did a fantastic job explaining frees and the rules to the girls as they played. 👏

Then this morning, it was off to Abbeyfeale. Two competitive games against Old Mill and Fr Casey’s saw our girls giving it their all, excelling in both attack and defence and showing some fantastic teamwork, determination and skill.

🏆 U16 Championship Final – Champions! 🏆
Our U16 girls travelled to St Patrick’s yesterday afternoon for their Championship Final, with nearly a full squad giving management a fantastic panel of players to choose from.
A bit of a breeze in the first half made for a low-scoring opening, and we went into half-time trailing by just 1 point.
A few half-time substitutions saw the girls start the second half really well. They battled hard to bring the game level and, showing great composure, kept possession and worked the ball patiently into the forwards.
The final whistle blew with our girls finishing on top, 3-05 to 0-10, to become U16 Championship winners! 🏆👏
What a fantastic finish to the season, winning both the League and Championship in their division. Every single girl played her part throughout the season, contributing, working hard and giving her all. We couldn't be prouder of this group! 💪💚🧡❤️
A huge thank you to our club committee who work tirelessly in the background, our U16 management team Seamus Quirke, John Blackwell, Jaime Somer, Aisling Bishop and FLOs Trish O’Dowd and Denise O’Brien for their continuous development, encouragement and support of the girls throughout the year.
Thank you also to all the parents for their continued support, travelling to matches and making sure the girls were at training and games week after week.
Finally, a big thank you to the referee and to Dromin Athlacca Banogue for a very sporting and competitive match. 👏

Our U12’s welcomed Granagh/Balingarry to Ballysteen on Friday last. GB started strong and brought a hard physical approach to the game in the first 3rd and got some good scores.
After a good talk with the girls in the first break they worked themselves into the game and started to take control of the game. The girls showed great determination and played some great football and scored some great scores. Once they got ahead in the game they didn’t look back and saw out the game. Well done to every on a great evening of football. 👏🏻👏🏻

**A busy morning in Ballysteen last Saturday for our U10s! ⚽️**

We welcomed Old Mill, Na Piarsaigh and Fr. Casey’s to Ballysteen for a great morning of football.

The girls played some fantastic football across four very competitive games, showing great skill, teamwork and determination throughout. It was brilliant to see them putting into practice all the hard work they’ve been doing at training.

U12 Club League – Phase 2
Our U12s recently travelled to Monagea for their first game of Phase 2 in the Club League.
With a panel of 17 players togged out on the night, the girls battled hard from start to finish and were rewarded with a well-deserved win. 👏💪

U14 Quarter-Final Victory 🏐💪
22 girls togged out yesterday evening in Staker Wallace for our U14 Quarter-Final against Knockainey.
The girls knew a tough game was in store, having lost to Knockainey in last year’s County Final. They started well, but went in at half-time three points down.
A few positional changes and substitutions at half-time helped turn the game around. Knockainey got off to a strong start in the second half and opened up a seven-point lead, but the fight, determination and attitude of the full panel saw the girls battle their way back to level with just minutes to play.
The girls kept working hard and, importantly, kept their composure when it mattered most, securing a fantastic two-point victory. 👏👏
A brilliant team effort from start to finish, and the girls now look forward to a U14 Semi-Final in the coming weeks.
Well done to all 22 girls who played their part — a great performance and a deserved result and many thanks to all who travelled to support the team and management 💪💚🧡❤️
