As our 2026 captains weekend away is just over a week away on behalf of the long bar golf society would like to wish our captain James denehan all the best for his weekend away, this is always a great social event for the society and would like to thank James for all the hard work he has put into organizing the weekend away a lot of work goes on behind the seens in getting everything done you are nearly there James thanks from all your friends in the long bar golf society looking forward to seeing everyone for what will be a great weekend stay safe everyone 🏌️🏌🏾‍♂️⛳⛳

Next Saturday the 22nd of August the long bar golf society will hold its annual draw in logans bar edenderry at 9:00 this is always a great night so everyone is invited. We would like to thank everyone who bought a line for the draw and especially our sponsors for the draw there support is greatly appreciated so if you are free drop into logans bar Saturday night. For anyone who has not yet returned there cards could please do so as soon as possible or on the night best of luck to everyone

Afternoon all. Yesterday Saturday the 8th of August the long bar golf society was in portarlington golf club for its deceased members outing. There was a great turn out on the day,this outing was sponsored by ger Hall the society would like to thank ger Hall for his continued support. It was not just the weather that was great but the golf played match the weather in first place with a brilliant score of 43 points was Owen dollard in 2nd was John spollen with 42 points 3rd was Ken guildfoyle with 38 points 4th was Paul Dalton with 37 points, front 9 was calm colgan with 21 points back 9 was Tony mc creanor with 20 points, longest drive was John spollen, nearest to the pin was Ken guildfoyle, bonus number was John spollen. Also congratulations to Cyril nutterfield who had a hole in one on the 11th hole well done Cyril. We would like to thank portarlington groundstaff who had the course in brilliant condition also the bar and restaurant staff who looked after everyone so well also the lads for doing the table. Once again we'll done to all the winners a special congratulations to Owen dollard who joined this year with his first overall win well done Owen ⛳🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♂️⛳

Afternoon hope everyone is well. Yesterday Saturday the 11th of July the long bar golf society was in Highfield golf club for its 2nd major of the year its president wes cashin presidents day. There was 40 players who celebrated wes day which was a great turn out, all you friends in the society would like to thank you wes for organising a brilliant day and night the prizes were amazing you should be proud of yourself wes you did a great job. It was not just the weather that was good but the golf on there from everyone was amazing. This year's winner was ger Dalton with 47 points 2d place Richard Maloney with 44 points 3rd was Jonathan Maloney with 43 points 4th was Ken guildfoyle with 41 points front 9 was Derek dowdall with 22 points back 9 Tom crinigan with 22 points longest drive gerry Duffy nearest to the pin Gary carthy first visitors was Connor o reilly 31 points 2nd was Paul mc sweeny with 26 points, gross winner Derek dowdall with 79 ,glory hole winner was Cyril nutterfield ,2s club Paul mc sweeny,ger Dalton, Ken guildfoyle, Derek dowdall, Tony mc creaner,Gary earthy.bouns ball winner was ned foran .well done to all the winners. The society would like to thank Highfield golf club the bar and restaurant staff who looked after everyone so well.
