The Flesk Restaurant Summer Series came to an end tonight in near darkness but we had another tight result to finish it all off:

Commiserations to Damien Fleming and John McGrath on missing out on victory with the Kerry Senior Mens Team following a very tight finish in Riverdale today where Kerry had to settle for bronze on countback after missing out on gold by one stroke!

Ciara Lowe and Eileen McCarthy claimed silver in the Ladies Nett with Kerry meanwhile after their competition had to unfortunately be curtailed due to the effect of the weather on the course.

Pictured we had a number of prizewinners today at the Crosshaven U16 Scratch Cup as Fionn McMonagle was second in the U16 section, Fionn O'Callaghan and Aodhan O'Halloran second and third respectively in the U13 section as Adam Twomey won the Final 9 prize.

Today's Sunday Draws meanwhile saw our Utility Trust Doubles Matchplay winners continue their winning ways together albeit on countback.

Well done to Michael Cronin, James Fleming, Connie O'Sullivan and Dan Broderick on winning silver medals with the Kerry Intermediate Mens team at the Munster Inter-Counties in Riverdale today.

The runners-up from these events also go forward to the National Challenge this year meaning they will represent Kerry again in Larkspur Park on Sunday September 20th.

A massive thank you to everyone who attended our gathering tonight after the completion of our Chairman's Prize as we thank Chef de Excellence Club President Derry McCarthy for this evening's Barbeque, Shirley and Helena for their hospitality and our Chairman Sean Kelly and Captain Gearoid Cronin for looking after everyone on the night.

The prizes for the Willie Parker Memorial back in April along with the Utility Trust Doubles Matchplay were presented tonight alongside our Chairman's and Captain's Prizes. The only man to accept prizes from all four competitions was our winner tonight as Denis Duggan won his third major competition of the year in the club by a slender shot from Alan O'Sullivan.

We especially wish Damien and John (Senior), Michael, James, Connie and Dan (Intermediate) along with James, Alan, Jason and Paddy (Junior) and Ciara and Eileen (Ladies) the best of luck in putting on the county colours this weekend.

Our Chairman Sean Kelly looks forward to welcoming everyone to his Chairman's Prize tomorrow evening with Tee-Off from 4.30pm-5.30pm.

Thanks very much to everyone who took part in our Trophyworld Tralee sponsored U16 Club Matchplay today as had a record entry of over 50 players.

Massive thanks to our U16 Officers Mike Cronin and Niall O'Loughlin for their efforts as today's competition marked the 30th Anniversary of its first staging when a certain D Fleming was the first winner.

It's slightly fitting then that a son of a former neighbour of his would win today as Fionn Culloty became the latest bearing that first name to make his mark on the club scene. He would defeat our U16 Scratch Cup winner Daniel Quinlan in the Championship decider.

Well done also to Dylan Moynihan on his win the Plate event as unfortunately runner-up Ryan O'Donoghue had to leave prior to our presentation this evening.
