What can we say about this group of girls....
Their never say die attitude has only gone and landed them in a county final!

They did enough in the first half to keep ticking over and despite a large enough difference in the scoreline, they knew exactly what they had to do once the 2nd half kicked off.

Teamwork, skillfulness & tenacity meant that at full time we had bridged a 9 point deficit, winning by 3 points, and holding St. Anne's to one point in the second half. Unreal! And unbridled joy by all at the full whistle.

Well done to every single girl who came tonight and contributed on and off the field. Thank you to our parents and supporters for travelling for an early start after a long day. We think it was worth it!

One final game.

We will play St. Pats on the 26th of September in Dungarvan. Time TBC.

Well done to this great bunch of girls for getting the job done last night! They played a brilliant second half and we're very proud of the heart and grit they showed ❤️💪🏻

As a result, we now have a semi final against St. Anne's next Monday 7th September in Bunmahon at 6.30pm so all to play for.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of one of our greatest supporters and our Honorary President, Paddy “The Gare” Geary.
Since Shamrocks LGFA was reformed in 2013, initially as a Juvenile Club and then with the return of our Adult team in 2018, Paddy has been with us every step of the way. He rarely missed a game at any grade, always taking up his position on the sideline, keeping the scores and, more often than not, providing us with his invaluable advice!
Whenever a Shamrocks team won a Championship, there was no one prouder than Paddy. Seeing his grandnieces playing for Shamrocks made those moments even more special for him.
Paddy was a true Shamrocks supporter, and his presence, encouragement and friendship will be greatly missed by everyone involved with the club.
Our sincere sympathy goes to all the Geary family, the Murphy family and the O’Keeffe family at this very sad time.
Rest in peace, Paddy.
