NoeleenTyrrell Yoga Hi, I’m Noeleen, a certified Anusara Yoga teacher, trainer, therapist, and coach.

🌟 Don't miss out on my upcoming events! tinyurl.com/noeleentyrrell

I’m honoured to be the founder of Ard Nahoo Yoga School in Ireland, where I’m devoted to yoga education and supporting the growth of my students. With over 30 years of experience in yoga and natural health, I’ve been fortunate to train in the US, UK, Europe, and Ireland. I’m a Certified Yoga Therapist with IAYT and also hold certifications in massage and craniosacral therapy. My teaching style is intuitive, helping students experience meaningful transformations and health benefits. I’ve had the privilege of training many wonderful yoga teachers and, as a coach, I aim to assist others in finding their own paths and wisdom. My journey with yoga began in Rush, Co. Dublin, but it was in San Francisco that I truly fell in love with the practice. Yoga has been a grounding force for me, aiding in various life challenges like back problems, home births, and managing a busy clinic and studio. I initially practised Iyengar Yoga, but discovering Anusara Yoga in 2010 was a turning point that profoundly shaped my practice and teaching. I’m deeply grateful to all my teachers and continue to learn and grow. In 2001, I founded Ard Nahoo Eco Retreat in County Leitrim, which received global recognition as one of the top retreats. In 2022, I decided to move on from the eco retreat, and now Ard Nahoo Yoga School travels with me, offering retreats, workshops, and trainings both locally and internationally.

We’re living longer.

The more interesting question is how well we want to live those extra years.

As yoga teachers, how can we adapt our teaching to support strength, mobility, balance and wellbeing as we age?

YogaWise | Yoga for Healthy Ageing is a two day teacher training exploring how we can use yoga to support people to age with greater strength, confidence and vitality.

We’ll look at how we can make our teaching safe, challenging, effective and empowering for older and not so old students, while considering the physical and mental changes that come with ageing.

RETURN TO THE SOURCE

An Anusara Yoga Teacher Training Retreat for All Teachers & Practitioners

In March 2027, I’ll be gathering us somewhere warm and beautiful for a very special week of Anusara Yoga, learning, practice and community.

The location is still being found somewhere in Spain, Portugal or, if the stars align, the Canary Islands. So for now, think sunshine, spaciousness, deep practice and a week dedicated to returning to what nourishes and inspires us.

This week will be the final residential week of the 100-hour Anusara Yoga Teacher Training and I’m delighted to open this training to all teachers who want to grow and shine. Learning is supported and deepened in the cocoon of the retreat environment.

The focus will be on up-skilling and refining the essential skills of teaching Anusara Yoga, including:

🌿 Universal Principles of Alignment
🌿 Biomechanics and intelligent, effective application
🌿 Sequencing
🌿 Teaching with a Theme
🌿 Voice and language
🌿 The art and skill of teaching asana
🌿 Developing greater confidence, clarity and creativity as a teacher

There will be morning practices with me, along with a variety of classes, workshops and teaching sessions with the wider teaching team throughout the week.

And while the teacher training will be at the heart of the retreat, you don’t have to be a teacher to join us.

Yoga practitioners who simply want to immerse themselves in a week of beautiful practice, learning and community will be welcome to participate in the morning practices and selected classes and offerings throughout the week.

I’m imagining this week as a kind of return to the source, a chance to step away from the noise of everyday life and enter the nourishing space of practice and learning again.

A place to pause.
To receive.
To explore.
To deepen our skills.
To remember what we love about teaching and practising yoga.

And perhaps, like emerging from a womb, to come out the other side renewed, nourished, inspired, more confident and ready for whatever comes next.

☀️ 20–27 March 2027

There is so much more to yoga than becoming stronger or more flexible.

Yes, yoga can support strength, mobility, balance and body awareness. It can help us regulate stress, pay attention and meet life with a little more resilience.

But there is another dimension that is harder to put into words.

You are not your thoughts.

There is something underneath all the doing, thinking and busyness. A quiet place of stillness, presence and peace that is already there. Yoga simply gives us ways to remember it.

And once you’ve experienced that, even for a moment, you can’t completely unknow it.

I’m back teaching tonight after a long break, and I’m really looking forward to getting back on the mat and into the rhythm of practising together.

There are still spaces in Level 2 Anusara Yoga in Dromahair, with more classes and teacher trainings beginning from here on in.

Perhaps this is a good time to make a little space.

A few things coming up over the next few days and weeks.

Spaces to practise, learn, deepen your understanding and, perhaps most importantly, make a little more space for yourself.

Take a look through the upcoming events and see what speaks to you.

I’d love to see you there. 🤍

What if you did a little less today?

We are surrounded by noise, information and endless things to do.

Another message. Another email. Another thing to organise, learn, watch or achieve.

And perhaps what we actually need is the opposite.

A little more space.

A walk without a podcast.
A cup of tea without your phone.
Five minutes sitting in silence.

You don’t have to meditate perfectly.
You don’t have to stop thinking.

Just sit.
Notice.
Breathe.
Listen.

Because beneath all the doing, thinking and noise, there is a quieter part of you that has been there all along.

You don’t always need to do something.

Sometimes, five minutes of doing absolutely nothing might be one of the most useful things you do all day.

Your students aren’t getting younger.

And as yoga teachers, perhaps it’s worth asking whether our teaching is evolving with them.

How do we adapt practices to support strength, mobility, balance and wellbeing as we age? How do we teach in a way that is both challenging and appropriate for the bodies in front of us?

YogaWise | Yoga for Healthy Ageing is a two day teacher training exploring how yoga can support people to age with strength, confidence and vitality.

What can we learn when we start paying attention to the body from the inside out?

Over five weeks, we’ll explore the relationship between the inner body and the physical body we move through life with.

We’ll move through the body in stages, beginning with the feet and legs, then exploring the hips, spine, shoulders and arms, and finally the head and neck.

Along the way, we’ll look at how these different parts work together, how they influence the way we move and feel, and how paying attention to the body can reveal much more than we might expect.

There are two ways to join:

Level 2 Anusara Yoga
8 September – 13 October
6.30pm – 8pm
Newtownmanor Hall, Dromahair

Level 1 Anusara Yoga | Beginners welcome
10 September – 15 October
10am – 11am
The Barracks, Dromahair

Five weeks of exploring, practising and developing a deeper understanding of the body through Anusara Yoga.
