CLUB STATEMENT

As we look back on what was a truly brilliant game of football this past Sunday in Jackman Park, we are reminded of the power of sport.

Firstly, we would like to thank Geraldines AFC Limerick for their participation in a fantastic final. Both teams gave their all. Geraldines won the league, narrowly finishing ahead of our B team. Both teams pushed each other all the way this season and as a club we want to congratulate them on a magnificent season.

We want to recognise the fantastic support on the day from the Moyross community who pushed our B team all the way and ultimately saw us lift the cup on penalties. We are so proud of every member of the B team for what was a memorable performance.
The club want to thank the Gardai who dealt with a situation prior to kick off. We want to categorically state that such scenes have no place in any sporting ground.

Moyross United and the Moyross Community have made significant progress in recent times. Our club has contributed significantly to the regeneration of our community. Our goal is to give our young people positive guidance through sport so that they can go forward in life and reach their potential.

Finally, Limerick can only reach its potential once all our communities reach their goals. Until people from all areas of Limerick can enter every community and enjoy a game of football, we are ultimately failing our children.
We are a city and county of sporting pedigree and we achieve more when the battle is left on the field.

Moyross B 2-0 Carew Park B

Another brilliant fixture which didnt fail to deliver by both sides again with moyross taking taking the points today. Carew unlucky with a penalty hitting the cross bar which saw moyross go straight down the other end and a pass from Tyrone fitzgerald put kane troy perfectly in on goal and slotting home the 1st which was followed up by a Dean Quinn Penalty. Well done Moyross B well deserved! ❤️⚪️ that results sees us go 2nd in the table with a game in hand
