Student Sport Ireland invite applications for the newly established full-time contracted (3 years) role of Adventure Sports Manager. The role has been developed following collaboration between the Irish Adventure Sport Training Trust (IASTT), Canoeing Ireland, Mountaineering Ireland, and Student Sport Ireland.

The role is funded exclusively by the IASTT reflecting the strategic importance for the IASTT and the NGBs for Adventure Sports of HE Adventure Sports clubs, and student participation in Adventure Sports clubs.

The Adventure Sports Manager’s primary remit will be to support HE Adventure Sports clubs, ensuring the clubs operate to the highest safety and training standards.

A brilliant week of trekking with Sligo Mountaineering Club in the Sierra Nevada mountains. For anyone interested we are taking bookings for next year so get in touch to organize a trip for your club/group of friends!!

You gotta love Bike week. We had lots going on from beginner sessions, to advanced and also a family spin. It was all happening this weekend down at the Ballyhoura Mountain bike trails.

What a weekend!!! Great weather, wonderful people and two days of mountain biking, what more could you ask for.

Photos are of our Sunday spin for beginners and families and there was a great turn out. Delighted to have so many families with young kids getting a taste for mountain biking and hopefully encouraging their parents to bring them out by showing how accessible and enjoyable it is!!
