The collection is getting bigger ! We were crowned league champions last night with a hard fought win over Carlow IT. The game was played on a superb surface in Carlow It and we won with a single point to spare 20-19. Damien Kelly set things off with a well taken try and followed up with another soon after, jack Breen fought hard to block a Carlow kick and crash over the line. Half time score was 19-15 to Carlow after a hectic first half we sorted our defensive and went back to the basics much to the delight of the front row Brendan keogh and Stephen Burke and Liam McMahon who carried any amount of ball. With 10 minutes to spare Mark Richardson dotted down in the corner to make it 20–19. With 10 minutes on the clock we kept ball right to the end but all be it with 17 seconds on the clock, Carlow broke from the base of the scrum to tear down the middle. Thankfully Damien Kelly was at home with plenty in the tank made two superb tackles and put the game out of sight. A great game a great night and a great end to the calendar year. We spent 2017 unbeaten and big shout-out to the lads who joined this year. We look forward to next year and hopefully continue the winning habit.

Tonight we wrapped up our final group game with a flattering score line 34-14 over a gritty Tralee It side. After a rugged first half played in miserable conditions we led 17-12 at the break. Thankfully we regrouped at the break and put a well drilled but tiring Tralee side out of reach.
This marks the first ever league final for The Mary i rugby club as we face off this night two weeks against the other table toppers either Carlow or Waterford It.
This season is the first for many lads and they have excelled to enable the team to complete a clean sweep of victories. A first for the club also.
We would like to thank all those who have supported the efforts of the Mary i rugby club and look forward to the league final. Let’s hope we can add to the all Ireland we enjoyed last year.

Great day was had yesterday training along side the Barbarians squad. Big thanks to photographer Joe Kennedy who kept the lense clear throughout a rather miserable day in Glenstal Abbey. Nevertheless a super experience for all the lads involved and great preparation for our final league game Vs IT Tralee next Wednesday evening where we hope to top our group and chase our second piece of Silverware.

Congratulations to all past members of the Mary i rugby team graduating this week. A big best of luck from all current members of the team. Enjoy your day.
Another super day put down with a hard fought win over LIT. The game finished 24-17 played in Young Munster and we secured the bonus point . Try scorers where Darragh Joyce with a hat trick, Johnny Martin with a great piece of skill to catch a sleeping LIT defence and .
Mark Shanahan also slotted in for a try and converted 2 of the possible 4 extras.
Again we had debutants who all played a part and chipped in for our first win over our neighbors. Credit due to a young resilient Lit side who pushed hard til the final whistle. Next up is Tralee to decide if we top the group.
Also this group are holding our first ever fundraiser next Wednesday evening hope to see a few familiar faces in what is sure to be a great night.
Game today at 4.15 Vs LIT
All support welcome.

A great day for all involved. We kicked off the season with a hard fought 17-15 win against our neighbors Ul. Great credit due to the new first years lads and our debutants. Also a special mention to the star of the show Jack Breen for saving the day from the tee.
