BEYOND PROUD to see so many current and former TY Coaches starting on their official coaching pathway! With Intro to Coaching on their CVs they will be able to assist coaches at their clubs, and once they finish secondary school come to work for us at Get Rowing 🥹

Their future athletes will be very lucky indeed, because these are all really wonderful young people.

🔵⚪️ London Met 2025 🔵⚪️

Shannon Rowing Club Inter Team spent their June Bank Holiday in Eton Dorney lake at some very competitive racing for London Met Regatta 2025.

This is a fantastic international competition which crews travelling from all over the UK and many from Ireland in attendance.

Shannon RC was represented over many categories over the 2 days:

Just a quick reminder about the Rowing Summer Camps running with Get Going Get Rowing @ SRC🚣‍♂️

These camps are a brilliant chance for teenagers to try out rowing in a fun and friendly environment. Four weeks available:

June 23rd

June 30th

July 28th

August 4th
(10am–1pm each day, €120 for the week)

Also, experienced juniors – this is a great chance to get involved and help out at camp. We’ll confirm more on helper roles closer to the time.

🔵⚪️ CASTLECONNELL SPRINT REGATTA 🔵⚪️

Shannon RC had a very successful weekend in local . It was a fantastic weekend of racing for all members and we took home 19 wins!

Congrats to all and massive shoutout as always to the parents and volunteers who kept the day running smoothly (and the burgers on the grill!)

I'm pedalling this adventure inspired by my brother Martin and his example of reaching his potential. I like the idea of reaching our potential. It doesn't mean we have to be the best in the world just the best that we can be. Bieber if that means your are the best in the World then that is Utterly Brilliant!!!! Paul O Donovan is an Irish rowing legend. The greatest Irish olympian ever. He learned how to tie at skibbereen rowing club and that's where I'm heading now... @skibbrowing

🔵⚪️ Wallingford Regatta 🔵⚪️

The May Bank Holiday saw Shannon set sail across to England for

The last time the club went was in 2012 (see the last pic!)

This was not easy feat. It took many many volunteers and parents to come along as well as a monstrous drive from Conor and co-pilot Mo to get the boats over!

It was an amazing day of racing on the 2012 Olympic Course and the first time abroad for many of our Junior athletes. We even managed to squeeze in a few finals!

On our home turf, SRC took to in force! As part organisers of the regatta it is always a delight to see the event run so well and even come away with a few wins! Well done to all involved.

🔵⚪️ SKIBBERERN REGATTA 2025 🔵⚪️

A great weekend was had over two days of racing at the National Rowing Centre for all members of Shannon Rowing Club with showings from the club at all categories.

Well done to for a great Regatta and well done to our winners

🔵⚪️ HORR and Vesta HOR 🔵⚪️

26 master members from SRC travelled across to London for a brilliant weekend of racing at HORR and Vesta Head of the River! We put out 3 8s across the two days of racing and were the envy of many clubs having so many people go.

This is all down to the hard work and dedication of each crew member and it paid off in style! Well done SRC!
