Hey guys, just for those that aren't aware (apologies for the delay in sharing across our social media's), the club has been shut down for this semester and so there will be no more training. We are working hard to get it back up and running next semester and appreciate your understanding and support.
Again, apologies for the inconvenience, but hopefully we will see you all at training again someday.

Today Karate is studied all over the world! The name karate-do was formed from the Japane
Hello everyone, especially to everyone new! We have training tonight from 6 to 8pm in the sports hall in the PESS building. Make sure to wear clothes you would be happy to workout in (ie. no jeans), and bring plenty of water. Whether this is your first time doing karate or not, we look forward to welcoming you to our club later today. We also have training every Thursday from 8 to 10pm, and will hopefully be running some social events throughout the semester too!

Congratulations to some of our amazing members who graded last Saturday and progressed onto the next step in their karate journey! Well done guys, huge achievement and the club is very proud.
Also congratulations to those who competed in Fermoy on Sunday. The results may not have went our way much (except for Seán 👀🥉.... ) , but you are all winners in our eyes. The club is extremely proud of you all, and just remember that if you don't win, you learn. So take the learning experience and apply it to the next outing!

A massive congratulations to everyone who competed at the intervarsities we hosted yesterday, especially our strong UL team which won a selection of medals between them all!
Pictures of the event will hopefully be shared within the next few days.
So, last minute details for tomorrow's intervarsity. It's in the PESS hall across from where we usually train. We are taking registrations from 9am onwards, with the intention to have everyone fully signed in by 9:45, a meeting with captains and refs at 9:50 and begin the competition at 10:00. Hopefully do all kata in the morning and kumite in the afternoon, but depending on how we get through categories we may have some people doing kumite in the morning. There's also a planned lunch break around 12:30/1. Awards ceremony will be after the last event, and there is an after party in the Hurlers pub. And hopefully we will all enjoy ourselves and have a good day. Its either you win or learn! No such thing as losing😂

Congratulations to these amazing members who passed their gradings today in Mayfield. Very proud of the commitment and work ethic and consistency this semester, and hope there is plenty more to come!!
Hopefully this can be inspiration to everyone looking to start karate, or looking to grade next semester. Most of the members who graded today only started this semester and have achieved so much in a short time already.
