Best of luck to Clayton Abela as he represents Malta 🇲🇹 at the UIPM Obstacle World Championships 2026 in Beijing, China 🇨🇳

Coming off an incredible recent world title performance in the short course event in Limerick, Ireland 🇮🇪, he carries major momentum into his events. 

Abela will challenge both the explosive 400m and the grueling 3km endurance test at Universal Studios Beijing.

Best of luck to Clayton Abela as he represents Malta at the UIPM Championships in Beijing.

Accompanying him as the official Maltese delegate is Julian Briffa, providing vital support for the team on the ground.

Clayton Abela is the World Champion of the Short Course Event (3.7klm) here in Limerick, Ireland, as he placed first in his age group.

The Maltese national OCR team in Mantua, Italy, participated in an international OCR competition bringing together athletes from various countries.

The athletes competed in several obstacles courses, including the 400m and the 3K, against some of the best international competitors.

Our Young Athletes Team included;
Keona Mercieca
Faith Buttigieg
Britney Farr
Adelia Farr
Hannah Spiteri
Leila Mizzi

Valentina Micallef also challenged the Open Waves Category.

From the Adults Category;
Sean Porter
Sandra Borg
Gabriel Borg
Rebecca Grech

And finally Clayton Abela was brave enough to compete in the Elite Category where he still managed to perform and placed good within the top of Europe.

This competition serves also as a significant step in the Maltese athletes’ preparation for upcoming international challenges, and at the same time further strengthening Malta’s presence on the international OCR.

The Malta Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) National Team travelled to Mantova, Italy, to compete in an international competition which brings together athletes from various countries.

The Malta Obstacle Course Racing National Teams completed a successful weekend in Mantova, winning multiple medals and producing various high class performances across different levels.

The Maltese national OCR team is currently in Mantua, Italy, to participate in an international OCR competition bringing together athletes from various countries.

The athletes will compete in several obstacles courses, including the 400m and the 3K, where they will have the opportunity to test their abilities against some of the best international competitors.

The team is led by Julian Briffa, who has spent the past few months preparing the athletes by focusing on performance, discipline, and team spirit.

This competition serves as a significant step in the Maltese athletes’ preparation for upcoming international challenges, and at the same time further strengthening Malta’s presence on the international OCR scene.

We extend our best wishes to the entire team as they represent our country at such a prestigious event!
