Sad Passing of Carew Park FC Founder Dennis Griffin
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Griffin, a founding member of Carew Park Football Club, formed in 1973.
Dennis was deeply involved in the local community and volunteered his time coaching football, helping to give young people the opportunity to play the game. Alongside other committed individuals, he played a key role in establishing Carew Park FC and helping the club take its first steps.
Many will remember Dennis pictured with the late Jim Roach, another great servant of the club who sadly passed away in previous years. The image of the two men together, sharing a trophy presented to Jim, reflects the pride and commitment they both had for the club.
Dennis’s contribution to Carew Park FC and the community will be fondly remembered, and his role in the club’s history will never be forgotten.
Our thoughts are with Dennis’s family and friends at this difficult time.
Further information regarding funeral arrangements will be shared in due course.
From everyone at Carew Park FC. 💙
