23 children enjoyed a fantastic first session of GAA on the Green this week in Ballsgrove! 🏐

A big thank you to the coaches from Louth GAA and St. Nicholas G.F.C for delivering an enjoyable session, with plenty of skills, games and activities — finishing up with a competitive tug of war! 💪😄

Great to see so many children getting active, having fun and enjoying Gaelic games in their local community. 👏

Thanks to everyone who took part, and we look forward to the next session!

⚽ Soccer on the Greens was underway in Inse Bay, Laytown! 🙌

A brilliant turnout for Week 1, with local boys and girls aged 8–11 and 12–14 years getting involved in a fun evening of football on the green! ⚽👏

Organised by SportUile and delivered by the FAIreland , Soccer on the Greens is all about bringing sport right into the heart of the community, giving young people the chance to get active, have fun and enjoy football together. 👧👦

👏 Thanks to everyone who came along and made the first session such a success!

👍Looking forward to seeing you all again for the remaining three weeks!

🏆 SportUile – Driving Change Through Sport Grant

Are you a sports club or community group with an idea that could make a positive difference for young people in your community?

SportUile is inviting applications for the Driving Change Through Sport Grant, with funding of up to €1,000 available to support programmes that:

✅ Engage youth at risk
✅ Support young people from disadvantaged communities
✅ Use sport and physical activity to create positive opportunities
✅ Benefit participants from Drogheda and East Meath

SportUile are returning with our highly successful, 6 – week Stretch & Flex class in East Meath for older adults.

A fantastic morning at Lourdes Stadium Drogheda , as part of 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆! 💙

SportUile delivered an 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, welcoming participants from local disability services for a fun, active and supportive morning.

The session focused on:

🚶‍♂️ Building confidence with Activator Poles
⚖️ Balance and stability
🤝 Connection and participation
😊 Most importantly — having fun!

Louth Local Sports Partnership is delighted to launch the 4th Annual Sports Club Volunteer of the Year Awards 2026, celebrating the incredible volunteers who make sport happen across County Louth.

👏 Line pitches
👏 Serve on committees
👏 Open and lock facilities
👏 Support players, athletes and communities

Without volunteers, there would be no sport!

In 2025, volunteers from over 100 sports clubs were honoured for their outstanding contribution to sport in Louth. This year, we're once again inviting every club in the county to nominate their Volunteer of the Year.

🏅 One volunteer from every nominated club will be recognised and celebrated.
