πŸ‘‹ Overriding your negative thoughts with positive thinking can backfire big time.

Here is why and what to do instead πŸ‘‡

Why it backfires? πŸ§¨β˜„οΈπŸ«£

Overriding negative thoughts with positive ones is like telling oneself: β€œYou are wrong!” ❌ πŸ˜‘

When someone says that to us we feel rejected. Why would you want to do that to yourself? 🫣😳

What to do instead? πŸ‘‰

βœ… Acknowledge your negative thoughts and accept them as your initial response
βœ… Explore the polar opposite of those thoughts
βœ… Look for evidence of how this opposite could be true, too

Now, you are more balanced in your actual response without the danger of a backfire. πŸ•ŠοΈ

This works as much for positive thoughts that may make us believe we can fly when in fact we can’t. βœˆοΈπŸ¦‹πŸš€πŸ’₯

Give it try and share in the comments what you think πŸ˜‰

Are you too busy? Drown in emails? Lack of time to get things done?πŸ”₯πŸš’πŸ˜«

Read onπŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

It is easy to get pulled into the busyness. πŸ’¨β³οΈ
However, the number of emails received or sent hardly rewards with a feeling of accomplishment. πŸ“§πŸ“§πŸ“§πŸ“ͺ❌😳😞

Here is an idea of how to refocus: πŸ’πŸ’‘πŸ”Ž

1⃣️ Observe what you spend your time on
2⃣️ Adjust what you focus on
3⃣️ Assess what worked and what hasn't
