Next in the On The Road Again series we look at the journey of the North Kildare Celtic Supporters Club
North Kildare CSC is still a relatively new club. We formed in 2019. We are based in Maynooth, Co. Kildare and our home is the Newtown Inn. Our first chairperson was Stephen McEvoy who put out the call to Celtic fans in the North Kildare area to meet. Following this meeting we officially started as a CSC. Stephen handed over the reigns to current chairperson John McHale, who also is the current merchandise officer for the AICSC.
Although a relatively new club, many of our members have been travelling to games for decades. We have strong ties with AICSC since our founding and many of our members have attended the annual Charity Dinner dance since it began all those years ago. The AICSC has been very helpful to us, firstly helping us get setup, then helping with tickets. However the greatest strength of the association is the camaraderie and friendships made with fellow Celts throughout the 32 counties of Ireland and beyond.
As a club we have had many great days. Members travel to every home game and many European games. There have been many memorable trips to paradise and the Hearts title decider last year was probably the highlight so far. We have also been fortunate to host two AICSC delegate meetings where we have welcomed CSC’s from all over Ireland to our home in the Newtown Inn.
Following in the ethos of Celtic's charitable roots we as a CSC also hold many fundraising initiatives to support local, national and Celtic charities.
We also run many great functions as a club and we love giving local musical acts the stage. We’ve had great days with Gary Lawlor, The Auld Brigade, Catalpa, Daniel Doherty and Conor Durkan to name a few.
One of the high points was having an Evening with John Hartson in 2024. Last year we also had the legendary Gary Óg over to entertain members for a night. Our next big event outside the Rangers games will take place on Friday October 2nd when we welcome Gary Óg back to Kildare. All celtic fans are welcome at any of our events.
We look forward to growing as a club in the coming years and all the craic along the road following the Bhoys. If you are in the area it is worth calling in as we show all Celtic games and a warm welcome awaits you.
Hail Hail from all in North Kildare CSC.
We're on the road again 🍀🇮🇪

The first in our On The Road Again series looks at the history, activism and the travelling support of the Tom Boyd CSC East Tyrone.
(If your club is interested in featuring please contact)
Tom Boyd CSC based in East Tyrone was formed in 1995 and named after former club captain and legend, Tom Boyd. The club has had long history with the AICSC over the years from attending many annual dinner dances, events and more recently proudly hosting the Ulster Delegates Meeting which was a great success having CSC's attend from all over Ireland.
Our Chairman Fergal Christie was the first ticket officer of the AICSC back in 2003 and his son Ronán has carried on that tradition by being elected as assistant P.R.O this year. The association has been very helpful to us in obtaining tickets for games over the years, something in which we are very greatful for.
Tom Boyd has made several visits to the East Tyrone area attending functions along with his late father Tom Senior RIP, who was also elected club President.
The club were based from its formation in Donaghy's Bar but have recently moved to Donohoe's Bar, Dungannon.
Our members past and present have had many memorable trips over the years from the year Celtic stopped the 10 in 1997/98 and European nights such as Bordeaux 2000, Stuggart 2003, UEFA Cup Final Seville 2003 and one of Celtic's greatest ever wins against Barcelona in 2012 at Paradise. To more recent times attending Cup Finals at Hampden and watching Celtic win trebles and dominating Scottish Football.
In keeping with the Celtic tradition, the club have donated to various charities over the years. Recently members have held vigils and a sleep out in support of Medical Aid of Palestine, something which our club members feel very strong about. We will continue to support the Palestinian people againts the genocide inflicted upon them by the zionest regime.
As we enter our 31st year we look forward to Celtic winning their 57th League title and making sure Glasgow is always Green and White.
Hail Hail
