After a productive season, High Performance Dressage Manager Dunphy has named the quartet who will compete on the biggest stage in Germany, with two World Championship debuts among the squad.

Jessica Dunn and Kevin Acres will join Alex Baker and James Connor at the championship, with Baker returning after making her own debut in 2022 at Herning. Connor has represented Ireland previously in two world championships, in 1998 in Rome at and 2014 in Cannes.

Dunphy said: “I am very excited with the team I have selected to represent Ireland at the World Championships in Aachen.

“Throughout the selection period all of the athletes have produced very good performances, their hard work and dedication has earned them their place.

“I am very happy with the balance of the team, Jess and Kevin will make their championship debut, while Alex and James bring previous world championship experience to the table.

“I extend my sincere thanks to the owners, coaches, grooms and support teams for their continued commitment of our athletes and to the HSI High Performance Programme. It is a great achievement and an honour for us to field a team at the World Championships and we are all looking forward to the challenge.”
