🏆🏆🏆Remember folks that events and championships require the support of competitors and without 1 you can’t have the other. It’s a vicious circle which only goes one direction.🏆🏆🏆
⏰⏰⏰Soooo if your intending to compete please get an entry in support the event , the club and the championship and they in turn can give you what you want - a good days craic and your well desired motorsport fix for the week!! ⏰⏰⏰
🎤🎤🎤North Ulster have put plans in place for this event to be the best sprint of the year so please help them out and give them some support. 🎤🎤🎤

As the Johnnie O’Neill memorial sprint approaches I thought it best to remind everyone of how good a day this is
Soooooo, I’ve stolen from YouTube Brian Milligans superb footage from this event in 2023.
As Youl see Nutts corner is a great
Circuit for a sprint as it has a bit of everything a driver wants.
Please don’t tell Brian Milligan that I’ve pinched his video though please 😂😂😂

The next North Ulster Car Club event is the Jonnie O’Neill memorial sprint being held at Nutts corner on 12 September 2026
So for those who didn’t know Jonnie O’Neill I’ve attached the following tribute to him which was written by Raymond McFaul in his memory.
Jonnie O'Neill, wee Jonnie or the wee Man, as he was affectionately known to everyone, very sadly passed away after a routine hip operation in February. Not only was wee Jonnie known the length and breadth of Ireland through his involvement as a marshal, organiser and competitor in motor sport but also throughout all the racing circuits of the UK because of his great passion for the bikes.
He was a committee member and a director of the North Ulster Car Club for over forty years and was a great personal friend to myself along with other committee members. Jonnie may have been small in size but what he had in character, wit and humour far out measured his stature. A day or weekend away with the wee man was always full of fun and craic and I will always treasure the many stories 1 continue to relate to people who knew him. Ten minutes after meeting Jonnie for the first time you never forgot him and many, many people were the richer for having known him. And if you were feeling down Jonnie would always lift your spirits with a bit of craic or a 'wee one'
He will be sorely missed around the paddocks and at our club meetings. God bless you Jonnie. It was a pleasure knowing you.
You were truly one of life's characters and we very proudly present this trophy in your memory.

Morning all
I had been sent another link of some action from the Millers Commercials Eagles rock Hillclimb which I’ve attached below.
I still have some more stuff to post and share from the event.
Massive thanks to those who took and shared this video on TikTok (which I personally can’t work) and I hope they don’t mind me stealing it for here

As I mentioned last night I have more photos to share regarding the event and specifically the nod back to the first event which ran on 12 July 1969.
On that day local man Alwyn Buchannon competed in his mini and did really well.
Alwyn still competes today on selected sprints and hillclimbs In his Formula Renault Single Seater - as an octogenarian!!!!
When Alwyn heard that the event was returning he decided that he would stick an entry In to do the Millers Commercials 2026 Eagles Rock Hillclimb 57 years after his first attempt!!
Sadly a fuel pump issue, and a supplier who couldn’t supply in time meant that he was unable to complete the car in time to compete, but this didn’t hold Alwyn back. He spent the day spectating!!!!!!
Below are some superb photos which we took with Alwyn beside Mervyn Johnstons mini and Raymond Nelson’s Riley Elf!!
What a memory to treasure and what a competitor, friend and gentleman Alwyn Buchannon is!!
