I thought this was a really good question to expand abit more on…

Rather than just saying “it depends”…which can be the answer to a lot of questions in the S&C world…

A good place to start would be 2-3 fullbody sessions in the gym alongside 1-2 conditioning based sessions which could mix in some off-feet variations.

The main thing would be to strike a balance that works for you week on week.

Understand what the purpose of the session is and what adaptation it’s going to give you.

Consistency beats just doing more.

Comment STRUCTURE below and I’ll send you a free week of gym training where you can choose from a 2/3/4 day split 🤝

There’s no shortage of GAA players putting in serious work during off-season 🥵🏐

Gym sessions, 5Ks, intervals, speed work… you name it.

But how do you actually know if all that work is paying off? 👀

One thing we can learn from well-structured high-performance environments is the importance of having a clear plan, knowing WHY you’re doing each session and tracking your progress along the way.

Because there’s a big difference between simply getting sessions ticked off and actually working towards improving your performance 📈

And you don’t need to be an intercounty player to approach your training this way!

To help you get started, I’ve put together a FREE example week of off-season training to show you how to bring more structure to your gym and running sessions.

Comment STRUCTURE and I’ll send you a copy 🤝

Putting in the work during off-season is one thing… but how do you know if it’s actually paying off?

It’s very easy to throw on the runners, clock up the kilometres and hope you’ll be fitter by the time pre-season rolls around 🏃‍♀️

But, having targets to work towards and structure behind what you’re doing can make a big difference.

Otherwise, you’re putting in repeated effort without really knowing if you’re moving the needle forward 🧐

If you’re putting in the work this off-season but could benefit from more structure and guidance with your training, DM me PERFORMANCE and we can have a chat 🏐🙌
