Anne-Marie Comey Memorial 5km Run/Walk - Pre Event Information

Thank you for registering for our charity 5km Run in aid of Irish Cancer Society . Online registrations are still open on Pop Up Races.
We hope you have a great evening at our 2nd year Anne-Marie Comey 5km Run/Walk this coming Friday July 24th.

This run was set up to bring our amazing local community and those further afield together to remember Anne-Marie who was a wonderful and much loved Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister and Friend, who we miss dearly💖

NUMBER & T-SHIRT COLLECTION:

If you availed of the postal option, you will recieve your t-shirt and number in advance of the race. If you are picking up your number and/or t-shirt please collect them on Thursday or Friday per instructions below. Unfortunately home address information was not asked for during registeration process. Please check your emails if you haven't already done so, as they sent out an email in the last week with a link for you to update your postal address so your race pack can be posted to you.

We would encourage local participants to avail of number & t-shirt collection at the Summerhill GFC grounds between 6pm - 8pm on Thursday evening July 23rd. Those collecting are advised to park up on the bank beside main pitch as training will also be taking place during this time. There will also be a chance to purchase raffle tickets at this time. Numbers & t-shirts can also be collected at the Race HQ in Summerhill Community Centre on the Friday evening of the run between 6 - 7.30pm. (Unfortunately, due to the numbers who've registered, we can only give you the size of t-shirt you selected on-line).

REGISTRATIONS:

Online registrations will remain open until the morning of Friday July 24th.
A limited number of entries will be available on the evening- Entry Fee €20 but no t-shirt.

RACE TIME:

The race starts at 8pm sharp.The start is Chipped Timed which means that your time will only begin once you cross over the timing mat at the start and will end when you cross the timing mat at the finish.

PLEASE NOTE ALL WALKERS MUST GO TO THE STARTING LINE FOR 7.45PM

COURSE MAP:

As you can see from the map below, the race start is 500m from the Community Centre so please allow sufficient time to get there for the start.

For health and safety reasons there will be no dogs or bicycles allowed on the course during the race.

TOILETS:

Toilets will be situated in the Summerhill Community Centre Hall and the Summerhill GFC.

PARKING:

Limited parking will be available at the Summerhill Community Centre. The recommended parking is at Summerhill GFC. Toilets will be available here for use also. Also the grounds could be used as a warm up area. No parking on course route, please!

1st, 2nd, 3rd Male & Female

Category prizes for Male & Female 1st place:
Junior, O40, O50, O60.

TR Dallas will be entertaining us tomorrow night, Sunday July 12th at our Social Dance from 9pm. adm €10. We're looking forward to seeing you all, refreshments will be served
