Goals from Jack Dwan and Jack Ryan in the second half were not enough to overcome a stubborn Ardcroney outfit in a very tight affair in Glenbane Park.

North Tipp District League Youths Premier Division
Holycross F.C 1
Ballymackey 3
We came up against a team playing their third league game of the season while it was the first day for our boy's. Ballymackey were sharper and fitter but we battled hard to stay in the tie. Sean Butler scored a fantastic goal midway through the second half but even though we created chances after this we could not convert to add to our tally. Sean Lanphier was solid in midfield and John Quinlan was our stand out player in the second period. We look forward to more games in the coming weeks.

Holycross FC 3
Lough Derg 1

Another great morning 🌞 for football in Glenbane Park and our boys made the most of it. With great goals from our Captain Dylan Ryan, and Jack Shorley, made possible by assists from Cathal Craddock, you’d think the offense was the story today, but our back line was as solid as I’ve ever seen them, an outstanding performance from Paraic Costello throughout the match, and Lough Derg just couldn’t make a dent, until late in the second half they got one back from a corner. Great play from the Holycross lads today, they were a joy to watch. 👍

NTSFL U12 Boys
Holycross FC 2
Nenagh AFC 1

Holycross FC secured a hard-fought victory against Nenagh AFC in a thrilling U12 boys’ soccer match that was fiercely contested from start to finish.

☀️ Match Overview

The game was played under a beautiful sunny sky with the pitch in excellent condition, providing the perfect stage for two talented sides. From the whistle, the match was evenly balanced as both teams created dangerous chances and pushed for the opening goal.

⚽ First Half: Deadlock Broken

Nenagh AFC posed a constant threat, but they found it incredibly difficult to break through a well-organized Holycross defence marshalled by Adam Ryan. Just as it looked like the teams would head into the break scoreless, Jack Spillane found the back of the net just before half-time to give Holycross a crucial 1-0 lead.

🔄 Second Half: The Fightback

Nenagh AFC came out firing after the interval and struck back, scoring a well-deserved equaliser early in the second half. With the game tied, Holycross responded well. Danny Slattery scored a fine goal from a difficult angle and put Holycross ahead once again.

🧤 Resolute Finish

The final 15 minutes turned into an intense, physical battle. Nenagh threw everything forward in search of another equaliser, but a resolute Holycross team effort led by team captain Fionn McGrath kept them at bay. When the defence was breached, fine goalkeeping by Conor Stakelum ensured Holycross held onto their lead, safely guiding the team over the finish line for a fantastic win.

One of our u11 team's made the short journey to neighbours Clodaigh Ranger's and enjoyed a fantastic contest. Goals from Matt Mc Cullagh,
Charlie Lowry, Fionn Harty and Eddie Cullagh and a brilliant game in goals from Conor Stakelum were the highlights 👏.
We also had a team at home to killavilla where Charlie Bergin and Mossy Carr scored our goals.
All in all we had about 20 boy's play today at u11.💪⚽️💚
