The Wexford Pool Association AGM will take place on Sunday July 14th in the Spot at 12pm. (We need to have our proposals into the IPA by the 19th)

The Irish Pool Association Festival of Pool begins in earnest at the INEC at the Gleneagle in Killarney.

Represented in every category from Seniors Intermediate Junior and Junior B, Ladies, Under 23s, Over 50s and Over 60s.

Our senior team are the defending All Ireland inter county team champions.

The very best of luck to all our players, and indeed everyone travelling and playing from all over the country.

Let’s bring home some more Silverware

Everyone in the Wexford Pool Association would like to express its deepest sympathies to John Leacy and the whole family on the passing of his father.

May he rest in peace.

John was heavily involved in Wexford pool for a long time from managing the juniors and on to the men’s teams.

The All Ireland Junior championships were held in the fantastic J Mac’s Pool club in Navan this past weekend.

Wexford was well represented in all categories from under 12s up to 18s.

Congratulations to all players who travelled to represent Wexford.

The Under 18s A are the All Ireland Plate champions for 2024, fantastic achievement for their first time out as a team.

A very special well done to Denny Bookle, who is the 2024 All Ireland Junior Champion.

Parents and guardians welcome aswell, we will have an information session and play some pool.

Big weekend for Wexford Pool at the latest IPA event in Newcastle West Limerick.

15 year old Denny Bookle from Cassagh won the under 23 event on Saturday

On Sunday Tomas Whelan from Taghmon won the Main tour plate event beating Denny in the final.

Enniscorthys Robert Brady won the Over 50s event, his 4th title in the last 6 events.

In the over 50s final held over from the previous event John Connolly from Wexford town won his first title on the IPA tour.

And Ben Doyle from Enniscorthy has reached the final of the Main Event to be played at the next tour stop in Ballinasloe in January vs Shaun Sharkey.

Entries are now open for the 1st Wexford team trials to qualify for the festival of pool in Killarney in May 2024.

First event the weekend of the 1st September in The Spot

Format is the same as last year, group qualifying Friday and Saturday evenings and in knockouts on Sunday. 6 trials but it will be best 5 results counting.

Fees exactly the same as last year. Entry to each trial is €20 with a once off €50 to be paid at Trial 1.

Hi everyone. The following are the dates for the Wexford Trials 23/24.

As agreed at the AGM the format remains as in 22/23
6 events played over a weekend, Friday session, Saturday Session and the knockouts on Sunday.

As with last year it is again best 5 results from 6 will count. The top 8 players will make up the A team, the next 11 will make up the B team and the next 11 will make up the C team.

All events now to the held in the Spot Gorey. I know it was agreed at our AGM that we would have 3 events in Gorey and 3 in Wexford. It has since come to light that the venue in Wexford isn’t available to us for what is required. We will still have practice nights in Wexford once the teams are formed.

As with every year a €50 deposit is required at or before Trial 1 which will go toward entry for each player in Killarney
