Golden Years Festival

The Golden Year Festival Is A Festival Held In Waterford City Every Year. Since then the festival has run each year and has been an outstanding success.

The idea of a Golden Years festival was proposed by Actress Anna Manahan, who is a native and freeman of Waterford, when she spoke at the 'Age and Power Conference' in January 2004. The festival involves three days of activities including a song contest, a talent contest, a bowling contest, day trips and tours of Waterford and Dungarvan, 3 course dinners each night, Cabaret each night, Dancing each night and a festive Gala Ball to end it all.
