Saturday evening saw the club host the latest leg of our Master angler league with Ballinacourty being the venue. Probably for the first time this year anglers could actually leave the waders and heavy jackets behind with the sun high in the sky . This however brings its own challenges as this venue and light flourocarbon lines etc do not go well together , expectations were for a slow start with a pick up as the sun was setting, first casts were out and it didn't take long for the lower pegs to register bites unfortunately their joy was short lived when they tried to retrieve the cast as the sea bed out in the channel had stripped away and become very snaggy 🤦. On the plus side the tackle box would be a little lighter on the way back 😂. Main species on the day were dogs with bass and smoothound scattered in for good measure. In the end Mochara and Willie shared the glory with multiple dogs on each card well done lads 👏
