🏀🔥Calor Blazers Complete Double in All Wexford South East League Finals🔥🏀

Calor Wexford Blazers U14S competed in the South East Final Four this weekend and faced off against County rivals Enniscorthy.

Both Wexford and Enniscorthy were evenly matched in the first quarter and took the lead on a slim 16-13 scoreline. In the second quarter, Enniscorthy kept the pressure up and traded baskets with Wexford and the lead was unchanged by half time 25-22.

The Blazers lived up to their name in the third quarter and they caught fire and behind and incredible scoring performance from Artem Mytnyk who had 12 of his game high 23 points in this quarter, Wexford pulled away from Enniscorthy and never looked back. Wexford would go on to win comprehensive winners on a score of 61-39.

This caps off a truly incredible season for the U14 boys who have won both the South East League and are now also Final Four Champions. The Wexford Blazers club is incredibly proud of the boys who have worked so hard all season and played with heart, determination and above all teamwork that has brought them huge success this year.

Huge appreciation also for their coaches Darren Corish and Stephe Fortune for their guidance, encouragement and belief, which has made this teams’ achievements possible.

To see two teams from Wexford teams compete in these finals shows just how far Wexford basketball has come and that the future for Basketball in the county is bright.

That’s a wrap on an incredible U15 boys basketball season 🏀👏

From tip-off to the final buzzer today, this group showed heart, hustle, and real team spirit. Every training session, every game, every possession — they brought energy, worked hard for each other, and kept improving week by week.

A special word of thanks and recognition to coaches Cormac and Stephen. The time you’ve put in on and off the court has shaped this team in the best way.

And a big thank you also to Darren for stepping in today to guide the boys in their semi-final.

To the players: be proud of everything you’ve achieved this season — the future is bright 👏👏

Great run out today for our women’s team as we took on the Irish Over 60s squad in a fantastic friendly ahead of the 1st FIBA Masters Open in Athens this coming July 🇮🇪🏀

It was an absolute privilege to share the court with such an inspiring group of players who continue to raise the bar and represent their country with pride.

A special shoutout to Ros McGuinness, our very own club member and chairperson, who is flying it for both club and country — and still dominating on the court! 💪
